Set behind a pub, a very basic motel set up but perfect for what we needed. No one on the reception so we had to walk upstairs into the bar to get our keys, we arrived about 8 o clock as we’d been visiting parts of south wales all day, so the pub was filled with normal local punters, and quite busy. Once in my room, very basic but clean and comfortable, but my fathers room, the single bed was made but not the double bed he had booked, he made the double bed with the single duvet, sheet etc, the remote wasn’t working, no towels in the room, as it was late and busy we just left it and was going to mention it to the staff in the morning. In the morning he went for shower and found a huge crack in the bathtub, so he had to come and use the towels and bath in my room. The cooked breakfast was a full English breakfast cooked to order very nice and had selection of cereals, tea/ coffee and bread etc. We reported the bath as we didn’t want to get blamed for it and after a bit investigating by the waitress she informed us that the room was condemned and shouldn’t have been used, which made sense for the condition it was in. She told us she was going to the inform the manager and should get back to us about the situation…. One week later we are still waiting …

When we first arrived it felt old, however this is a hidden gem. The roast is β€˜to-die-for’ and was served so quickly. One of the best we’ve had from a restaurant. We would recommend booking but they also do takeaway. We also stayed for the night. It was clean and tidy, and it smelt good! Sarah - the lady who Is part of the team keeping the rooms clean, was wonderful and cheery. She took pride in the rooms being clean. One of the best smelling accommodations we’ve stayed at. Staff were very friendly and loads of parking. We will definitely come again.

Stayed here for just Β£65 and was genuinely impressed by the value for money. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent – tasty, well-prepared, and generous portions. The staff were friendly and welcoming across the board, from check-in to the restaurant. The shower had perfect pressure (a rare find!) and the hotel is ideally located with easy access to some stunning beaches. Would absolutely stay again – a great find!

Only visited for Sunday lunch, which was good, unfortunately they had run out of draught beer, not so good for a pub, but I'm sure they've had a delivery by now.

Called in on a whim, and so glad we did. The food was delicious. I had the Ham and Parsley Sauce with veg, my partner had Fish and Chips and my Father in Law had the Roast Beef Dinner. We couldn't fault it, all the meals were well cooked, and plenty on the plates. The service was faultless and quick, friendly and welcoming staff. All in all a lovely meal out in a lovely place. Will definitely be coming back. 10/10 5β˜†

Stayed here for a few days, joined somebody else in their room a few days into the booking. Important to know: they charged us an extra Β£20 for me, an extra person, in the room. Bit annoying but doesn't bring the rating down as it's understandable, they are a independent, family business in a isolated location. If you're staying in the area, this is the hotel to book. Affordable, very comfortable rooms with a family home-like vibe. All complementary services provided such as coffee and tea. There's a nice pub attached to the motel and the staff are lovely and accomodating at all hours. It's quiet at night and the area, while empty, is actually quite pretty. There are shops and takeaways very close to the motel. Public transport is available, however you will probably have the best experience with your own vehicle if you're a tourist. The motel has a free car park attached. If I visit the area again, I would stay here again.

What a brilliant place. Like we timed warped into 1973. Loved it. Nice big lively bar cheap prices and good grub. Staff where super friendly, good laugh, and genuine. Big room and comfy nights sleep. Parked the bike round the back, where I could see it. if your a certain age you will love this, Even had black forest gateaux on the menu and a terrible singer mauling your favorite songs. white plaster walls, amazing. Definitely go back,, just ace!
