Lady is very rude, and I had an awful experience especially with her ‘customer service’. If you want to find out more about this place, go ahead and waste your hard earned money. Unfortunate to write this but the owner was terrible and the cleanliness is very very poor

My stay here is from 5-9-18 to 14-9-18. Its very near to Port Talbot bus station. Taxi takes 2.8 pounds to reach here from Port Talbot bus station. The rooms are very good. Some have attached toilets and some do not, i.e. some toilets are shared. But it is not an issue. The toilets and rooms are very clean and they expect you to maintain the same. There is no fooding arrangement here. A shared good kitchen is available where you can cook food or purchase cooked food from outside and heat it before eating. Water availability is not a problem but you should not waste water. Smoking inside is not at all permitted. They give free tea bags, small milk pouches, coffee pouches, sugar and few biscuits for the tea / coffee preparations. Electric heating jar for heating drinking water is available in the room. They charge in a multiple of 7 days for your stay, i. e. If you stay here single for 10 days, then they will charge you 7 days @ 30 pounds each day and for the balance 3 days they will charge you @ 35 pounds each day. For double sharing, they charge @ 40 pounds each day. All in all, its a good and cheap place to stay. Two big dogs are also here, but they mind their own business and do not disturb you unless you disturb them.
Lovely digs and a lovely owner really enjoyed my time here stayed nearly 3 weeks while working in the steel works and it's only a few miles away Thr digs are in a great location and I loved the big comfy bed you get the use of a fully fitted kitchen with everything that you need to make dinners or yer sandwiches for the working day
Save your money and get a place in a smaller village in the area instead. This property is not in good condition, is well due a renovation but in the least needs more frequent and thorough cleaning. The wet dog smell in the main house is overpowering.
Misleading name. Mountain View Lodge has no view of a mountain! Also, the owners were very ungrateful to the help and advice being offered to them from the Hotel Inspector. If you believe in good manners, admit when you're wrong, can take criticism when due, and understand you don't know everything about the world around you then I suggest you avoid this B&B.
