   Purchased a Crown kitchen a number of years ago. It was at the higher end of the quotes we received but falsely believed the promoted quality would justify this. How wrong we were. Drawer tops discoloured as are side panels on the units. Hugely disappointed and angry. Our previous (much cheaper) kitchen units lasted FAR longer. Avoid at all costs.

   Poor quality, kitchen doors paint has peeled in just over 5/6 years. No option to contact Crown direct as they are a faceless company. Steer clear, use someone else

   Went to Crown Imperial @ Daventry recently. Very warm welcome with coffee & biscuits. Helpful advice when asked for. Nice that they leave you alone to browse and are not pushy in any way. If you are thinking of a new kitchen, this is definitely the place to go. Many kitchens on display as well as appliances. There are no prices available as this is trade only & you will need an appointment to visit. Overall a good experience and worth the 70 mile round trip.

   A fantastic extension to displaying showrooms. To be clear the product itself should be viewed at your local displaying dealer this isn't a sales environment with pushy salesmen like Wren or Wickes, let your local displaying retailer drive your experience and if you need to visit Daventry it's normally because of focused interest in a particular product. The staff have all the information should you need any but are happy to let you walk around in your own time and own personal space. A refreshing take on a showroom experience with product that exceeds the quality of trade and retail outlets at a better price.

   Didn't buy from them directly but nevertheless received their products from one of their stockists. Not impressed and think their stock is overpriced and overrated for no good reason. My lacquered gloss doors began bubbling at the bottom a year after installation. I tried to activate the warranty but neither my supplier or crown had the decency to honour it. Instead they accused me of having a flood in my kitchen and passed the buck. Was expecting better for the price I paid.

   On the upside, it's very helpful to have all the options displayed in one showroom. On the downside it's very hard to work out what's going on as things are not well-labelled. The staff are around for you to ask questions but they generally leave you to your own devices. I was lucky to have a very helpful sales manager accompanying me, but it would have been very hard without that.

   Interesting place. Got to book in advance. Each retailer will also have a different selection, so gives you a wider range instead of looking through brochure. Also only get full brochure when to visit.
