The room was big and very clean. Lovely white bedding, big bay window, tea and coffee making facilities. Nice enough bathroom. Good location, lots of food places and shops and a nice walk downhill into Swansea. This is one of the most affordable hotels we have stayed in and it isn't as amazing as the more expensive ones.

Terrible experience. The booking went well. They said there will be 24 hours confirmation to check-in with codes to access my accomodation. Nothing happened. It is a disappointment. I tried the QR at the entrance. Nothing at all. Plus, the property owners are unreachable.

Read previous reviews. We stayed at the queen size bed downstairs. First we noticed that you hear hear anyone coming in. Then we noticed that it's worse than pictures. Then that Windows are old and all cars can be heard. Let's get to the point. I was woken up at night by people desperately banging on the door. I stood up and went to scare them but it turned out they were guess with keys but door locked outside automatically.. same occurences recorded. I left door opened via lock and heard another person come in. Over all it was clean and I slept relatively well but there is a lot of damage and noise and no number to call at all.

The location of the hotel is great. The rooms are large and clean and a walk to the center was very enjoyable and took only 10 minutes. Our room smelt like an Amsterdam coffee shop. If I'd paid a bit less than £70 I'd have felt better. The shower was dire and there was only one old, thin pillow each. The matress was cheap and very squeaky and the curtains are thinner than tracing paper. A few minor improvements and this place would be great.

A lot of other things could have been better. - The bed was uncomfortable, you can feel the springs - The bed had a DIRTY fabric headrest, very disgusting - The carpet was torn - The shower door was broken - The room was TINY and nothing like the photos no space to put my suitcase... and more complaints.. - Wifi wasn't working, asked for it to be fixed twice, but nothing. Checkin was a NIGHTMARE! I was checking in at 23:00 and the property told me to get my key from the box for room 18. Went to the address, the room 18 key box wasn't there. Tried calling the property several times, no answer. Messaged the property on here, they replied 30 mins later. They told me to go to the back alley and my room was there! It was 23:30 at night they told a girl traveling alone to go through the back alley at night! Absolutely awful stay!

It's a shame. This used to be such a great place when it was family run. Now it's pretty run down. The furniture has stains, the flooring is loose, the bathroom smells, the TV has no signal. The bedframe was so worn, I had to move the slats all onto one side. Avoid the room by the entrance (room 13). When drunk guests get home in the middle of the night, they can't manage to open the door lock, so they bang on the door until you wake up and let them in. Location is still great, in the heart of Uplands with pubs and shops nearby, and the university within 20 min walking distance

I stayed here 7/8 years ago and it was delightful. This visit, however, not so delightful. The room looked and felt like some cheap student accommodation. The two lights in the room didn’t work meaning the only light was the bright ceiling light. The window blind was broken in a disgusting state to be left. The mattress on the bed leaned to one side meaning I constantly found myself almost falling off the bed many times during the night. Very disappointed after looking forward to this visit. I most certainly won’t return & won’t recommend it. I have photos of the state of the window blind & lights. If this was a chain hotel I’d be getting a refund.

It is my first visit to Wales and I booked this hotel as the price for one room was good . I received welcome message and instructions and I was nicely surprised that my room was upgraded to a suit with my own bathroom . The room is wonderfully nice and clean . It has TV bar , and everything you need as a traveller . The fridge and microwave is on the second floor with access for everyone . You have plenty of little shops around , lot of take aways and you have also good bus connection of you want to go hiking . The beach is 15 min by foot . The train station is around 30 min. by foot which I had to check myself since on Sunday there is a little problems with how buses are running . The hotel has safety measures in place due to Covid so you can feel safe . You cannot smoke in room but just outside the hotel , there is smoking area so it is not a problem. I'm giving 5 stars .

The door locked and there was roof over our heads... That's were the positives end. The double glazed windows had dropped, so once opened they were extremely hard to close, there were no nets for privacy, as we were overlooking houses and a car park. The main radiator in the bedroom has no thermostatic control, so it was too hot. The curtain rails are very cheap brittle plastic, making the curtains almost impossible to draw without pulling the curtains off. The floor tiles in the bathroom were badly cracked, and grouting missing, also the bathroom had the stench of sewage. The bathroom window didn't open, and there was heavy staining in both the bathtub and sink, the mirror was placed to high for most people's height. It became apparent that the double bed was wonky, on further examination underneath, the middle support leg was broken and one of the slats had fallen out, we then noticed what looked like rubbish under the bed, was actually a bed bug trap, this was incredibly alarming, and created a dread of what the night would bring. The decor had seen better days, wallpaper slowly peeling away from the walls, lots of cracks in the skirting, (which for all we knew had little fleas watching us... Awaiting their moment to pounce). The coffee mugs weren't clean, so we headed for Costa. We had booked for 2 nights, but only stayed for 1 due to the seediness of the room.
