Happy with the minor repair they did to my bike in terms of service, quality and price. Would return for a more thorough service when needed. Worth a visit as they have plenty of gear and bikes for sale.

Bought a new bike from here and they were great. Listened to what I needed and helped me find the right bike for me, didn’t try to upsell but instead helped me work out the right bike for my needs. Kind, helpful staff, smooth service and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend.

Absolutely first class experience at Rayment’s taking my Turbo Levo Comp for a service and new headset bearings. Everything was written on a service sheet with attention to detail . Polite, professional and same day turn around. My bike feels like new and doesn’t click from the headset anymore . I’ve found a place I can trust with pride and joy. Nice coffee place next door too.

Needed a wheel with very little notice, great service both on the phone and in shop. They had what I wanted in stock and even fit the cassette for me on the spot. Saved me loads of stress and reasonable prices. Many thanks!

Extremely Disappointing Customer Experience!!! And Extremely Disrespectful Response from Owner – Avoid at All Costs I visited Rayment Cycle Store on 28th June 2025, around 4 PM with the intention of buying a bike for myself. I was initially greeted by a male salesperson who seemed pleasant and helpful. I told him my budget and what I was looking for, and he showed me a few options and even checked for stock in different colours. I appreciated his assistance and was close to making a purchase, the bike I selected was priced at £675. Before finalising the purchase, I asked if there were any discounts for Blue Light Card holders. He said there weren’t any, just three services in two months. I then checked my phone to see if I could find the same model at a better price elsewhere, a very common and reasonable thing to do as a customer. At that point, the entire tone of the interaction changed. He abruptly asked me what I was doing on my phone. I honestly told him I was checking for better deals, and he told me it was “rude” to use my phone in the store. I explained that I was spending my own money and had every right to check prices, but he took the bike I was holding and said he was going to keep it aside, without any proper explanation or apology. He seemed visibly irritated and dismissed me without a word. As I was leaving, I still made a point to say “thank you” , and he completely ignored me. This kind of behavior is unprofessional, disrespectful, and disappointing, especially for a store that sells premium bikes. I left the shop feeling unwelcome and judged. Unfortunately, I no longer trust Rayment Cycle Store to provide quality service, and I will not be returning and made my purchase elsewhere. I would advise other potential customers to think twice before shopping here. Reply to owner’s fabricated reply; originally posted a detailed and honest review about my disappointing experience at Rayment Cycle Store on June 28th, 2025. Rather than acknowledging the poor service I received, the owner chose to respond with false claims and a condescending tone, accusing me of having “no intention” of buying a bike. That alone speaks volumes about their attitude toward customers. Let me be clear: I absolutely intended to buy the bike that day – it was priced at £675, and I was seriously considering it until the staff member's attitude turned dismissive the moment I pulled out my phone to check for better pricing. That’s a completely normal and reasonable thing to do as a customer. Instead, I was treated as if I had done something wrong, the bike was taken out of my hands without explanation, and I was left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Since the owner chose to question my honesty publicly, I will now post proof of my actual bike purchase elsewhere – the same model for less than £550, along with a screenshot of my receipt and a photo of the bike. I didn’t originally include these out of courtesy, but now it’s important to show just how misleading their response was. If this is how they handle constructive criticism and customer feedback – by gaslighting and fabricating details – then it’s no wonder so many people are hesitant to trust small businesses anymore. I strongly recommend avoiding Rayment Cycle Store. Spend your money where you're respected and treated like a valued customer, not talked down to and publicly insulted.

The best bike shop in Brighton? I don't know any better and I've used most of them over the years. Rayments is a propoer bike shop where the guys love riding and know their stuff, so the service and knowledge are excellent. Great to have at least one thing working properly these days!

Really nice shop, much better inside than it looks from the outside, friendly people who go out of their way to get things done and make sure your bike stays on the road and very skilled with servicing. Highly recommend, would buy a bike and get one serviced there every time.

Oscar did an amazing job with a partial build and service on my road bike. Took the ride and feel of the bike to another level - it didn’t ride this well when it was new! Would certainly recommend (and great to see the shop still going strong).

Unsafe work - see photo of my wheel a few rides after Rayment serviced it and confirmed it was safe. Nearly fell off while riding in busy morning traffic. They took no responsibility and tried to blame me.
