   I was passing Bike Boom! on a ride to Brighton, I popped in to ask advice about play in my front wheel, my bike was immediately put on a stand, wheel removed & tightened up. Great quick service. Big selection of second hand serviced bikes for sale. I recommend. Jimbo.

   Bike basket arrived missing bolts and squashed. Not so bad it was unusable but its condition and its packaging lead me to ask if it was new or NOS. Good response intially but on the question of compensation replies dried up. A month later and after calling every day for three days, I was told the bolts would be posted but the courier wouldn't payout. I pointed out that it is the seller not the courier who compensates the customer and I was told "I'll give £20 and you can get your own bolts" then they hung up. I have got the £20, but it feels hard won. Very poor customer expirence in the end. Reading the reviews most bad reviews seem to be around the online expirience which is a shame because the good reviews seem very good.

   My E-Bike had an issue with the chain slipping off when it was on it's highest gear. Bike Boom kindly assessed and adjusted the gearing for me and didn't even charge for their time, advice and service. When my bike eventually requires it's servicing this is the first place I'm going.

   Took bike to get brakes fixed...told I might as well get 40 pound service...picked bike up, 84 pound charge. service 60 pounds and brakes tightened...nothing else, took bike back after 3 days back brake going... man said brake not meant to stop me! man condescending, since 'service' chain off twice. Love to be stitched up.

   TR gives great customer service, always friendly and helpful. We came across Bike Boom by accident as it's tucked away in Portslade. Well worth seeking place out. Nice variety of bikes. We bought folding electric E bikes which are great fun.

   I stopped by to pick up a second hand saddle on the BikeBoomBigBikeJumble sale!! ...It was really nice to meet the Bike Boom owner (and realise I used to work with his wife and we'd met before!), TR fitted the saddle for me and it's super comfy. It's so convenient having this bike repair store just a few minutes ride away from where we live, will definitely use for future servicing and when we need bits and pieces for the bikes in the family. Really glad to have found this place!

   Nice independent bike shop with everything you need to keep you rolling... Some shinny new bikes, refurbished used bikes for those on a budget and plenty of accessories from the right brands. In house mechanic knew his stuff and the full rack of bikes ready for repair would suggest plenty trusted him with their pride and joy... Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.
