Unfortunately the lady helping us was so rude that this was quite a negative experience. When she didn’t have our first choice in the right colour and size, I suggested a second (less expensive) option. She eyed me flatly and said “That is not a slip-on, madam.” Aware of that, my good lady - but just wanted to try it anyhow. Silly me. Snobby and unhelpful - left feeling quite cross and won’t be returning.

I bought a pair of really comfortable boots recently from Charles Clinkard. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the zip. I had shredded my receipt and thought that there may be a problem because of this. Actually, it was no problem at all. They immediately exchanged the faulty boots for a pair exactly the same.
