   Really nice staff and good soup, but I wanted to say: 'right stop, put everything down and let's reorganise'. We waited a long time for our soup, and then we saw an order being carried around the cafe as they looked for the right table. When I went across and asked if it was our soup, I was told, no its for table 15. A few minutes later it arrived at out table and we were informed that the tickets had been mixed up. As I said really nice staff, all working hard. I had the advantage of sitting for quite a while waiting and watching and thinking of ways that I thought could make life a lot easier.

   Love this cafe! So welcoming, warm and friendly. The cakes are delicious and I enjoy sipping tea and having cake overlooking the Midsummer Arcade.

   Visited Saturday at 12.30 with hubby , never again flippant staff dirty tables had to ask twice , had run out of soup , and fruit scones at 12.30 on busiest day of week. Every sandwich had cheese of some sort in it. which I can’t eat , Terrible choice and expensive , piece of the tiniest bit of Victoria sponge for 4 pounds ! Would never recommend terrible place.

   A nice view from the cafe. The entire side is glass giving a nice centre view. Access is via stairs or a lift, near the cosmetic area. Toilets upstairs, too. The sandwiches and cakes are all out, counter choice only, none freshly made. However you can order hot drinks which are indeed made. I asked for soup of the day, and apparently, there wasn't any. Nice atmosphere, but customer service could do with a little tweak.

   We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy! But the staff were great and didn't have to wait long to be served. The handsome manager Wayne was great and even convinced us to get a sweet treat with our coffee.

   Queued for 45 minutes today. Service very slow and lack lustre. Staff unenthusiastic, and seemed as though they didn’t want to be there. It was a busy day in the center, but there was no urgency about reducing the queues. Ordered 3 coffees and three cakes. Nothing very special, and very pricey for what we had. Despite the cafe overlooking the brilliant Christmas display,we won’t be returning any time soon.

   Visited this cafe this morning, a Wednesday We queued for over 15 minutes to place a drinks order! Once we'd ordered we sat for a further 5 minutes before our drinks arrived at our table. I would not recommend this cafe, just go to the main one on the top floor of the shop where service is much quicker!

   lovely coffee, lovely lunch, lovely cakes, lovely staff. visited today after a friend gave a recommendation, prices are a bit on the higher side for a cafe but everything was delicious none the less. Wasn’t particularly busy but very few staff members in proportion to the amount of customers.. Fantastic view of the fashion show in the hall down the below and overall nice atmosphere. Tall girl making and serving food was very charming and looked like she belonged on the runway herself :)

   Good alternative to the JL place to eat if you fancy a lite bite. Serving Italian coffee and small dishes the quality is very high but then again so are the some of the prices. The fresh salads are lovely as are the Piazza’s. I didn’t have desert or cake but they looked equally appealing. Plenty of room to sit down. You order at the counter and then it becomes table service as you are given a number. Get a seat by the window so you can people watch down into Middleton Hall. This view is particularly attractive when the Christmas show is on. Unfortunately being an independent cafe you cannot redeem your John Lewis free cake and drink here.
