First time visit to the Stony branch. Disappointed. The customer service was very good. However the cakes were, in one case a little dry, and in the other case the croissant was stale. We were told we’d get a timer to gauge the strength of tea. No timer appeared and the tea was insipid in colour. The decor needs some serious overhaul. There’s a fascinating well in the middle of the floor with a glass cover over it. It’s a brilliant feature, but the edges are stuck down by worn gaffa-tape. So, do I recommend this place? For friendly service, yes. For quality of cakes, no and for ambience no.
