Rough round the edges but a friendly crowd DJ let's this place down , same old music week after week If you ask the DJ to switch it up he flat out refuses and says he pays what he likes , all the regulars complain he never switches it up and have complained to managers who ignore it
Service and atmosphere was really good, mark behind the bar was really enthusiastic and friendly. Made me feel really welcome. Really good place!
Absolutely ridiculous cannot believe the state my mum came home in because of this place. My mum approached the bouncer near the entrance/exit of the building asking his permission to wait in the hallway for her taxi as she does not feel safe standing in the street and the bouncer kicked her out in the street and watched my mum nearly get mugged by a woman for her phone so she proceeded to walk back in and she said see it’s not safe out there please can I wait for my taxi in here, she then noticed the owner sat there and she said you must understand where I’m coming from? And they said no whatever the bouncer says goes so the bouncer kicked her out yet again, the woman then proceeded to try and mug my mum again and the police came over and my mum explained this story to the police but yet again my mum was made to feel like she was in the wrong as the police just said you have to listen to the bouncer just go home already. When the taxi arrived she went cried the whole way home and was in absolute hysterics when she eventually arrived home I am absolutely appalled at the way the situation was handle by the bouncer and THE OWNER even after seeing the harassment she was experiencing right outside the door of the building!
This is a unique pub and even in the morning there was a large lively crowd present. At first it felt like a real ‘locals’ place but I quickly found it was instead welcoming and a really fun vibe. The music is loud and fun, there’s a pool table and the prices are exceptionally reasonable! With the prime location it’s certainly somewhere I’ll be returning to again and again!
Came here for my wife's birthday. Great friendly atmosphere and would highly recommend it.
Good music less people so more room for dancing than some other locals
Best pub on the High Street. If you want a singalong and a boogie. This is the place for you.
Its lovely going back into a REAL pub with lovely barstaff and nice customers where you can go to the bar and order drinks. Loves it
Loud music Friday and Saturday till 1.30am, then the dj started singing, 5.30 wake up call on sat. By bin men and street cleaner, which is not put on Web site, had to ask for cups, spoons, coffee. If we knew place played loud music while open all the time, would not have booked
