The decor and ambiance is acceptable, albeit a little bland. However, the couches make for comfortable and laid back seating. The coffee here uses Lavazza Super Gusto beans, dark roast. Very little bitterness with a deep and dark flavour with chocolatey notes, lovely.
From the outside it looks more like a cafe / sandwich shop, but it is in fact a bar. It’s pretty basic inside and the decor could do with smartening up, and given the lights were all switched off it felt a little dark plus, with no music, lacking of any atmosphere. There’s a small number of tables outside which catch the sun in the early afternoon, making it a nice spot to people watch. The member of bar staff was friendly enough and there’s a good enough range of drinks given the size of the place, at standard prices for the town. It’s worth considering if you’re wanting a more quiet drink in the centre of town.
Nice pub friendly cheap
Tired and shabby could do with a re fit. Food is lovely and well presented. Staff are pleasant. Come here at least twice a month and have never had anything to complain about.
An efficient friendly service. Visit on a regular basis. Nicely located to watch the world go by. Reasonable bar fare and prices.
Really nice vibe in here. Quite often pop in for some grub. Bit expensive for the full family but the food is tasty and consistent and the service is always good.
Great experience! Visiting Bedford with my 14yo daughter, she steps in and likes what she sees, asks the very nice lady behind the bar about vegeterian options, but we are short of time. Next day we ride into town, go straight into Bar Citrus and have some great time over an english veggie breakfast :) Service is fast and pleasant with a side of smile, all clean and comfy, lovely food to top it all - Definitely can recommend to anyone looking for a quiet eat or a pint with a friend!
They illegally charge £1 if you spend less than £10 on a debit card. Coffee is average, food and drink is cheap and all fairly standard. Service is quite good, but I really don't like being ripped-off, so won't return.
