   was with my friends wednesday and was the rudest and unwelcoming pub ever. some of us don’t drink alcohol yet demanded we all buy drinks or out. do not recommend. never met such a rude man in my life

   On one visit the fire brigade was there because the kitchen was on fire ! The next visit was very quiet but the whole of the bar area smelt of burnt old deep fryer fat. I've never seen a menu but they do food. Drinks were priced in today's norm and well served in the correct glass The above review was NOT compiled by me and I apologise unreservedly for any upset that it may have caused. Always friendly staff. I've now read the other reviews, but I've never met the landlord.

   Worst experience. Ordered a salad and all day breakfast - took 45 minutes. Asked bartender to chase it and she said "the chef is plating it up" then waited a further 10minutes and still no sign of food. In the meantime the football was put on the TV and the speakers were blaring. The couple sat next to us were also unhappy with the volume so I asked if it could be turned down. Response - "I've turned it down as much as I can" volume was still too loud. Returned back to my seat to and then 1 of 2 meals arrived, my salad with a side of long black hair. Decided to get a refund for everything. I would strongly advise to avoid this pub at all costs to avoid encountering long waits for food, and poor customer service.

   Went here on Saturday night on the way home from the river festival. ..brought our drinks and sat outside only to be put in the dark after a few mins. I appreciate that it was quiet but to just turn the outside lights of and lock the doors with telling us was very rude. .. and at around 1030 so within their opening hours

   This pub took us ages to find. We needed a child friendly pub that was showing the football. We must have called at least 20 and had no luck! Lady was very friendly on the phone. We walked in and was greeted with a smile. The staff were all lovely.the food was incredible very tasty and very good value for money. For a family of 6 we all had drinks a meal and a dessert and spent around £80 Lots to choose from on the menu. Chef was great. Atmosphere for the footy was great! Had a lovely afternoon. Thankyou.
