Friendly and lively pub. We came in after an event at Bedford park, and it was very lively and a live band had just finished which looked good. 2 handpumps, one was Timothy Taylor Landlord and the other was 3 brewers. We had the 3 brewers which was a good pint in good condition

Went to see a band. Very young landlord who was lovely but is leaving. 2 bar staff were brilliant at dealing with the amount of people there.

This is a large pub, with lots of spacious areas which would be great if you’re in a particularly large group. However it’s not the smartest of options in the area and is feeling pretty dated and a bit dirty in places. The member of bar staff was friendly and despite there only being a handful of people in it felt a sociable environment. For a no fuss drink it’s worth considering.

Spent the evening here listening to great music & great atmosphere however as three older ladies (without drinks) waiting for our lift to arrive we were asked to vacate the premises and wait outside even though there were still people inside drinking , Not safety aware, very disappointing. Three staff members at the bar still drinking totally unaware of Safety First Protocal . When questioned staff members very dismissive of safety of women having to wait outside, smirking and a total lack of empathy. Real shame as very enjoyable evening spoilt by a few inexperienced staff members. May I Suggest training required ?

Used to be a great pub, now the beer garden is full of taxi drivers shouting at each other and having phone calls on loudspeakers. Once you retreat back inside and sit down, the barman will see fit to drop his guts 4 foot from your face, make 2 couples gag from the stench then laugh about it with his mate. Best avoided really. Hopefully gets somebody else running it soon. Go down the Devonshire / Gordon arms instead where you don't have to inhale the contents of the barman's colon.

I've been both drinking and gigging in here for over 5 years. The more things change in the area, the more things stay the same, and the Three Cups always manages to establish a balance of both! From the amazing selections of both in-house and guest ales and gins, to the amazing live music and the always-attentive and friendly customer service, this pub has it all. A perfect pub experience. You can find me propping up the bar every other week.
