   I am a fairly regular customer of the Ship and find the food to be generally good and reasonably priced. I went with friends on Wednesday and we had the festive menu. The food was plentiful and delicious as well as being inexpensive. I had the very tasty mushroom wellington for a main and my friends had turkey, which was succulent and thickly sliced .We genuinely would not have been disappointed had we been served this food at a more expensive eatery on Christmas Day. Would definitely recommend!

   Highly recommend this venue. The food is absolutely beautiful. Seriously people got to be 1 of the best boozer s in Bedford. Chef deserves a Michelin star. Gentle Man to boot.

   For a Sunday, it was pretty quiet which was great for us. The publican was really friendly and the food was great - solid fayre at a good price with generous helpings. Next time, a child's portion for my elderly father I think!

   Having been a loyal customer for many years, hiring the function room and enjoying many a meal, we returned after some time. It was clear from the outset things had changed for the worse. After waiting 20 minutes for a coffee and enquiring the bar maid apologised that she had completely forgot as she got caught up chatting. An hour after ordering food I was told just a few minutes, after 2 hours I asked for a refund and left

   Nice pub, but if they're going to encourage people to order through the Greene King app they should do a better job of fulfilling those orders without needing someone to go up to the bar and nudge them along 15 minutes after drinks order placed. I'd say don't bother with the app unless you have a good reason for not being able to order in person at the bar.
