We went with a group of friends for the bottomless brunch, the staff are brilliant and keep bringing the drinks, the food was really tasty and just right, the selection of cocktails and beers was perfect. Will certainly be going back again

We booked bottomless brunch just a few days before going as our usual place was fully booked and we were pleasantly surprised. The place has had a total make over and was absolutely lovely inside! The food was fab, service fantastic and we had the best time! We then had the Drum Room, which is a decent sized private room upstairs that has also had a make over, all to ourselves and it was turned into a private karaoke room! We didn’t even know they offered this as a service but they couldn’t do enough for us and we’re already planning our next visit! Thank you so much - we had the best evening! Go and check them out and find out for yourselves! xx

Didnt try the food but mates said they loved it. Saw a jazz performance in the room upstairs, (incredibly small space but fun for a small group to watch a show), then caught a little of the open mic downstairs, great drinks options and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

This pub is really a hidden gem… it’s changed so much since I last came here… we had a roast for Mother’s Day which was a bit different.. music is very cool.. but the roast dinner is fab xx Everyone had great food- veggie roast was yummy, and the meaty options were awesome too. They must have a really brilliant chef because pub grub isn’t usually this food x

My first time eating at Shipmans, very impressed. Lovely cozy interior with nooks and a wood fire (perfect on a cold winter day). I had the Ploughman's platter for 1 and it was fantastic. Even with a busy kitchen they got the food out in reasonable time. Many thanks, look forward to coming back! Would highly recommend!

Amazing to see the Shipmans open again, it's such a great addition to Northampton Town. The interiors are simply stunning and the attention to detail is remarkable. Beautifully crafted cocktails with a nice wine selection of wine. The food is superb, whether it's a quick bite to eat over lunch, dinner date or get together with friends. Oh and not to mention the best Sunday roast in Northampton! To top it off the staff are so lovely and friendly, great service! It' great to finally see high quality businesses like the Shipmans open up in Northampton Town.

Wow what a refurb! Visiting again brought back many memories of pre bridge street drinks or a cheeky after work drink. It always has been a beautiful building but now it resembles an elegant night out. Sharing board was delicious too. Service on point.

First class venue, very well appointed. Wonderfully refurbished space on the Northampton Drapery across two floors potentially allowing for private dining. Food was good, and service attentive and engaging. Competent and evolving beer selection

Called in for a quick pint whilst shopping, two very charming and young ladies behind the bar, but not a clue about the beers. Pint of St. Austell Tribute so cloudy nearly asked for a spoon and bread for my soup. When queried with the staff was told they thought it was meant to be cloudy and was a fresh barrel the night before. Not impressed. Ideal for students interested only in bottles or cocktails.
