Sorry to write this review but it is imperative to share my experience when so many are only able to eat out/get a takeaway occasionally in the current economy. What has happened to the pomftet roast! It has been our go to roast and we got a takeaway of our usual order and it is genuinely inedible. The meat is tough, dry and unseasoned, the Yorkshire’s completely flat and taste burnt, the roast potatoes are hard and seem like frozen bought, the veg is watery and the gravy is very poor. It is very rare that I will refuse to eat a meal but after trying each part of the roast, myself and my partner have had to go and get something else. The worst roast I have tried unfortunately

Popped in with my wife for a quick drink as the ale selection looked great. We ended up both having the Sunday roast - beef and pork as it looked delicious - and was!! Everything freshly cooked to perfection! Beer was outstanding too!

Where to start. We arrived at 1615 for a 1630 booking. Paid for starters and Mains.had a drink and sat down. Starter arrived and seemed ok. Then my wife started to choke after much back patting and and drinking we retrieved a large and very spiky piece of wood from her throat. I took it to the bar and showed it to the not very interested girl who was serving. We were then told it was a piece of fresh Rosemary used in the cooking and they walked away. OK benefit of the doubt. We then waited 1 hour for our main course. It was cheap frozen rubbish and still part frozen. And very cold. I asked to speak to the Manager and was confronted by a very rude woman claiming to be the head chef. She said I was unreasonable and told me the food was cooked and I was wrong. She refused to give me a refund. So I took the rubbish with me only to be chased by someone asking for the plate back. Please see all my pictures and make your own decisions.

Why does this place cramp itself in some tiny shop having people queuing out the door ?? Basic seating like you are kindergarten, it giving you don't like your customers You are lucky £5+ milkshake are banging Mk Centre is like a warehouse zero heating I see you again in t-shirt weather.

Perfect pub for a cosy Sunday roast and a few drinks. Wonderful atmosphere, great garden for the warmer months, dog friendly and the most phenomenal Sunday roast with plenty of meat and non meat options, all the trimmings and a gravy (that's surprisingly vegan!) to write home about.

Have been many times over the past 3yrs and went for New Years Eve 22/23. Every visit has been smashing. Good selection of drinks, great bar staff, fantastic music, cosy indoor seating and incredible outdoor seatong/atmosphere for those lovely evenings. Theyve started doing busier DJ events in 2022 that are very popular and incredibly good. Well above the Northampton standard. My favourite pub in Northampton.

Really wanted to visit the pubs direct website to view the menu. Unfortunately two different browsers (chrome and firefox) both return the site as untrusted and potentially unsafe. So three starts here as it is difficult to make a decision if to go for food or not when you can't see the menu beforehand. Update: After completing a bit of research I have discovered the following which may need to be adressed to fix the issue. "pomfretarms.co.uk uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 6 February 2022, 11:56:54 GMT."

Great staff who welcomed us plus cycle friendly so we were able to wheel our bikes through the bar out to cycle racks at the back. Great selection of ales and cider inc Phipps the one and only IPA. Friendly locals too!
