Tracey took immediate charge of the process and took us from start to finish in an extremely efficient and yet , at the same time , very personal and respectful manner .    I visited Lings Solicitors, George V Avenue 110, Worthing, today (25/09/25) to deliver required documents and enquire about an item left to me in a will by someone close. On arrival, I was met by two female receptionists. The shorter one, who was sitting and typing at the computer, dealt with me and my companion. From the very beginning, her attitude was unexpectedly hostile and unwelcoming. She came across as patronising, rude, and condescending, which was shocking from someone in a front desk role where professionalism and courtesy should be expected. The interaction left both my friend and I with one clear impression: if you wish to be treated in a dismissive and condescending way, this is the place to go; otherwise, you may be better off choosing another office, perhaps even the one just across the roundabout. It was not the kind of interaction I expected when approaching a solicitor’s office.

   Lings solicitors helped us with a much overdue update to our Wills. We dealt with Laura who was extremely professional throughout. She was helpful, friendly and efficient. With her expert knowledge and advice we were quickly able to detail our requirements and complete the process. Although we could probably have undertaken this task ourselves the piece of mind in using a professional was well worth the reasonable fee charged. We are very grateful of Laura's attention in this matter and would not hesitate to recommend.

I have to say that Lings were amazing when we used them for our house purchase. Great communication and explained everything we needed to know whenever we had a question.    NEGLIGENT DO NOT USE This firm supposedley completed and I paid all their fees at the end of August 2021, for purchase of a residential property.. Over a year later I still had had no confirmation from the Land Registry. |In August 2022 I contacted them myself to discover my application for my name to be registered on the property I had brought had been cancelled, because Lings had failed to completed and return relevant paperwork. This meant for several weeks the property was open to fraudulent activity as no owner was registered or paperwork pending. When I telephoned Lings noone knew about or was aware of the situation. I have asked for a refund of some sort of the fee, but have had no reply for such shoddy service.. I was also charged an additional fee for added security, but cannot find out exactly what this fee covers, or why I was charged more. E mails are not answered and it is nearly impossible to speak to the solicitor Phillip Hodges in person. I cannot even begin to describe the worry and frustration of attempting to communicate with this company. I feel RIPPED OFF AND AM STILL WATING FOR AN ANSWER TO AN EMAIL SENT A WEEK AGO.

   Used Lings solicitors for my property purchase back a few months ago. Staff were friendly and attentive. Prices were fair, it was difficult to get to speak to main solictor at points but you get that anywhere you go due to their work loads. Attempted to use again recently for property sale and purchase but they were unfortunately at full capacity. Such a shame !
