Food was amazing but the rooms were dirty and horrible. There were footprints on the walls. The shower lights turned off while I was in the shower. And there was a brown stain on my friends bedsheets.

recently stayed at YHA Sheringham and had a fantastic experience! The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the town and beach.

The room was not clean. The water from the rooms tap smelled like fish, footprints on walls, mattress was made of foam, water stains all over walls. Food was amazing though. I hate room 8. Also my friends bed sheets had a brown stain on them.

I thought I'd read a few of the low star ratings for a giggle before writing this after our excellent weekend at Sandringham YHA. My favourite comment was it felt like a backpackers hostel. I think the clue is in the name. If you want a hotel, or an ensuite room, or a gym and pool maybe look elsewhere, but for a cost effective place to stay, in a great location, where the staff are very friendly and helpful, the beds are fine to sleep in, and they provide a decent meal at the beginning and end of the day, this is for you or your group. We came with 4 adults and 15 young people for the weekend and the place was great for us. A few minutes walk from the town and the sea, and easy to access the beauty, and in our case, the rugby clubs of the north of Norfolk. We had use of a classroom to entertain the lads in the evenings too. Thank you for having us. Hope the lads didn't make too much noise. Them being there was the only reason I didn't sleep great.

The hostel itself was not bad, the food was nice. The beds were decent. However the toilet in the room we had did not lock. The WiFi was really poor. You have to pay to use the pool table and the football table. The lounge had a really outdated TV that had no remote. Overall it was okay for a 1 night sleep.

Cool sailing theme echoed around the various rooms of the building, nice clean showers and facilities, the gentleman working the front desk on the evening of the 10th of January was a wonderfully polite, helpful and kind employee. 5 stars all round in every aspect, 10/10 would stay again and recommend to a friend should you find yourself passing through Sherringham.

Pre-arrival: Good communication and quick to reply to our queries. We sent a couple of emails back and forth about the availability and space for 2 cots. Arrival: Straight forward check in and arrival brief. Cots were set up for us. Accommodation/ablutions: Decent room. We were given a larger room to accommodate 2 cots, but we have been in smaller rooms with cots at other YHAs. So we would have been happy with something smaller. Grateful for the considerations to allow extra room. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and not as squeeky as some others. Shared toilets and showers were very clean and relatively close by. Self-catering facilities: The kitchen was a good size with all that you need. The adjacent dining room was rather small, but there were a number of other rooms nearby. And a larger dining room down the corridor. Lounge/rooms: There were plenty of lounge spaces and a games room. I would suggest a small childrens play area should be made available (as other YHAs), especially during school holidays. Location: Fantastic location. Walking distance from beach and other places to visit. Large Tesco nearby. Accessibility: 1x disability parking space. I didn't see any stairlifts/platform lifts (unlike other YHAs) in the main areas, so you should enquire before arrival.

My friends and I stayed for one night here. The shower and toilet facilities are clean and nice. You can also put your food in the kitchen fridge or shelf if you put your name on it. The rooms and beds were also very comfortable. Thereβs a pool table as well where you can play (you have to pay either a pound or less).
