   I was made to take out Insurance before I could make an offer on a rental, I set up a dd - I didn’t end up moving & realised bode was still taking money from my account so I closed the dd with my bank & I’ve sent proof that I didn’t move in the the property but as they have my home address on file they are refusing to stop the payments & refund me. They have been rude & really unhelpful & I would not recommend to anyone especially if it’s before you move in to a home.

   I received what looks like a spam email regarding tenant's insurance for a place I lived in thirty-five years ago. I wanted to contact Bode via their web form but it's intentionally designed to prevent being used (it won't accept valid UK phone numbers, and thus blocks the SEND function). So (i) they aren't keeping on top of spam, and (ii) their customer service options are abysmal. Not a good sign in a company purporting to offer insurance.

   I got forced to sign up with this company as well and when I cancelled it they still continue to take payments and I'm now having to fight to get my money back and they keep saying that they don't owe me a refund but my argument is that they shouldn't have taken the money in the first place, even though I have it in writing that no money will be taken they still took a payment And they're telling me that a refund isn't due. They've gone all robotic and basically stolen my money, you can't make any sense out of them and it's infuriating. Not only that, but it's expensive. Complete scam

   I’m not happy with the way Bode Insurance is being forced on new tenants. Before moving into my apartment, I was told I had to sign up with Bode Insurance, even though I don’t need it and already have my own coverage. This feels like a “by force” requirement, and frankly, it doesn’t make sense. Insurance should be optional and based on individual needs — not something tenants are pressured into just to get the keys to their home. Tenants deserve the freedom to choose their own provider or opt out entirely if they wish. Making it mandatory feels unnecessary and unfair. Bode Insurance should be made optional, not enforced. Let people decide what’s best for them.
