His years of experience came into play, and quickly found the fault. Some faulty wiring to the fuel pump under the rear passenger seat. A few wiggles and she fired up. Probably dry solder joint, it had obviously had an issue prior to my purchase a couple of years ago. Really reasonable price and very nice man to deal with. I will definately use him again.
