   A most beautiful antique and jewellery shop , a fabulous find for anyone that collects beautiful items , be sure to look properly as a lot in this little shop . I noticed two small portraits in frames, went back the next day and unfortunately shop closed , contacted Bianca , the owner on my return home and arranged for them to be sent to my address, fantastic, very efficient, correspondence great , expertly packed and arrived the next day . Great experience and will definitely visit Chestnuts again when return to Alfriston.

   A beautiful Antique shop in a delightful country villiage, not to be missed. Open the door and step inside and it's like opening a Pandora Box.The shop is full to the brim with the most beautiful antique treasures that will blow your mind. Pure hand picked quality. No rubbish here, only the very very best.The displays are tastefully arranged and wether you are looking to treat yourself or wanting something for a special gift this is the perfect place to look. Friendly staff, and with sound knowledge. Bianca is a qualified and professional gemologist. When it comes to jewellery there is the absolute assurance that what is described is the real deal. It can't get better than that. Four legged friends are welcome and browsing welcome as well. Don't pass it bye. Make this a one stop shop for quality shopping and you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

   Popped in here today for afternoon tea. Great staff who were very welcoming and who gave a 1st class service. Four legged friends on a lead made welcome as well. Homemade cakes were excellent. Nice to have china crockery, everything was perfect. The eggs Benedict looked excellent, so will have these on the next visit. Highly recommeded, a treat not to be missed if you are in the area.

   What a gem of a tearoom and B&B! Mary and her husband were so hospitable throughout our two night stay. The bed was so comfy; the bathroom was modern and super clean. The breakfast was really delicious and of a high quality. We also sampled the cake and scones; again delicious. I highly recommend stopping here along the South Downs Way!

   What a lovely friendly gem this is. We booked this as a one night B&B during our South Downs walking holiday. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely ( I judge by the quality of the sausages, they were great). I would certainly highly recommend staying here, we were sadly unable to experience their cream teas mainly due to our own timing of arrival and departure. It's a lovely friendly village and we'll be coming back at some point.

   Enjoyed a really lovely afternoon tea here today. Cozy, homely place with books for adults and children to sit and relax. No need to feel rushed! Was greeted by a pleasant lady who let us sit and eat earlier than our reservation. Food was really good. Sandwiches nicely made and ingredients fresh. Scones made us full so we were able to take our slice of cake home. Nice mix of choice of all. Big pot of tea provided with quirky Robin cosy, provided more than enough for both of us. Would definitely recommend as all the businesses are probably struggling with the roadworks that will be going on in Alfriston until April / May. Support them and go in for a treat, you won't be disappointed! Will be back very soon hopefully!
