   I’ve tried just about every coffee shop in Leek and Keik does, without a doubt, the best coffee in town. It comes down to being properly barista trained. Keik has a great vibe and is a real community cafe. Love chatting to the lovely staff and other regulars and/or sitting outside watching the world go by.

   First visit. The man behind the counter brusquely said I couldn’t have anything from the menu signs outside the shop. The menus were being changed apparently. So I left empty handed. Second visit. Equal brusqueness from both staff. Shop wasn’t unduly busy so no excuse there. The carrot cake was good and the coffee wasn’t bad. Would I go for 3rd time lucky? Not at all. There are more than enough good coffee shops in Leek. Good manners cost nothing. Return customers are vital.

   I regularly enjoy a coffee, sometimes with a piece of cake. The coffee is always fresh and very enjoyable. The cake is wonderful and the owners are very friendly. So glad that we have such a nice place in Leek. You can sit outside or indoors and watch the world go by and I love having my Sunday Supplement stall virtually opposite!

   My wife and I decided to try this small cafe because it stood out as the best-presented of a number of similar establishments. We ordered the soups and were impressed with the flavour and quality of the ingredients, so much that we bought three of the cakes to take home We weren't disappointed in those either: the care and professionalism is exceptional, and makes Keik stand out. Try it - you won't be disappointed
