Wonderful cafe offering a great selection of homemade cakes at very reasonable prices. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They even gave me some new plasters for a wound on my hand after the old bandage fell off! Thank you so much for your kindness. We will be back!

Fab cakes after a walk to Thor Cave. Delicious chocolate cake and the coffee and walnut cake was lovely too.

Great place, fast service and kind people. We were here on a very sunny day. The scones were delicious. Really loved it. Two cats were entertaining us by trying to eat from our plates and try to drink coffee milk from the milk can. We loved this place and its ambiance.

A group of 11 of us went on Saturday at the end of a hike to Thor’s cave and Manifold Valley. Although it was after 4pm the place was buzzing with customers and it was a great atmosphere everyone was really friendly. There is outdoor and in door seating and the location is great situated next to the river. We were very excited to see the selection of homemade cakes which looked really yummy. It was shame they had ran out of scones so had lemon drizzle cake instead which was really good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Would really recommend this place if you are in the area.

Nice pastie, we have Black coffee so had to have spooned / jar coffee as their machine didn’t do black. Lovely selection of cakes. Great location at the side of the river, very handy for a stop off during your walk, close to Thors cave, free roadside lay-by parking Toilet attached Very popular with hikers, bikers and cyclists

Very small cafe, but friendly welcome and lovely to sit outside on a sunny day. Perfect stop when walking the Manifold.

Loved stopping here after walking to Thor's Cave. Got some drinks and ice creams before making the most of the hot weather and splashing around in the shallow Manifold river/stream outside. Lots of the river bed was bone dry further down the trail and a local told me it goes underground and only fills up I the winter. Beatiful place.

Nice little café a must stop on the way to Thors cave to get a few drinks for the hike ahead. The perfect place to visit on the way back from Thors cave as well. Toasted teacakes are good. Staff are helpful with information about nearby caves. Nice view of a small river next to the cafe as well with loads of ducks

What a little hidden gem ❤️ Great to sit on the waters edge eating ice cream on a hot summers day whilst the kids can play and cross the shallow waters. Lovely little clean cafe with toilet facilities and adhering to covid regulations. Offers outdoor seating with parasols on a hot day. Carpark is gravel but still OK for motorcycles.

This place was wonderful, there is a lake, is not deep water, behind the cafe there is a small cave if you look behind the cafe. There is a car park and it is free for everyone, but my disappointment is there isn't a internet connection. If you go to small cave behind the cafe, you will see Thor cave ahead behind small cave.
