Such a pretty city. The waterfront may use some benches for people to rest during their walks.

Nice walk along the front with views across to the marina

Visited for a few hours. Nice walk along waterfront. Lots of old dock buildings, mixed with modern. Plenty of coffee and food places. Worth a short stroll up to the shopping centres (2). Seemed to have plenty of carparks, but we walked.

Can't say much about the town centre other than be mindful of you go out there at night. There are a lot of people just sitting down randomly and drinking. However, the waterfront is pretty and had some lovely bars and restaurants.

The Marina is a great walk, especially during the summer. The Marina has a variety of food, bars and cafés to choose from as well as seating. The Marina has a chain link fence around it to prevent people falling in however small children will have to be watched near it.

Ipswich waterfront is a wonderful place and very beautiful. There are a lot of restaurants (book in advance on public holidays or if you are with the big group of people). Very unique waterfront to visit and explore. Pretty safe to walk at nights too. Personally enjoyed the walks and you can even go on a boat trip, to explore further.

Lovely spot, especially love Kult for a drink or a coffee although not open every evening. Perfect for a late afternoon/ evening stroll. September is best because when footy is on its quiet and all the boats are back in marina as sun sets.

Beautiful and Serene Waterfront. Lovely for a nice day out with the family. Plenty of options and choices for food and drinks! There is a chain gate that keeps people from falling in so I would strongly suggest younger kids are kept hand in hand and unless your pets like to swim...keep them on a leash!!! We stayed in a Penthouse with Amazing Views!
