   Having had root canal treatment I was amazed at the service I received. Andy McSweeny was a very caring and efficient dentist who carried out the procedure.    As a very nervous patient, my initial consultation was excellent. Previous dentists have needed me to attend 3 appointments to simply manage an x-ray. Due to the exceptional patience and kindness, I was able to achieve 2 x-rays, a full dental exam, and a plan for my required treatment in the initial consultation. I am definitely going to be booking to return. I cannot explain the relief of finding a good dentist. Special thanks to Mr Khan.

   After a long consideration whether to report them decided it’s not worth the hassle however their name “Saving smiles” is ironic as it is hardly referring to patients. Went here during pandemic when restrictions were eased but unfortunately not eased enough to be able to travel to my usual dental surgery. So after reading these amazing reviews decided to try it, but I wish I’ve never found this place. The dentist was dwelling on how great he is and there is no option to save my tooth but he is so good at removing teeth etc.etc. They asked me to pay deposit over the phone not mentioning at all about any dental charges so before going there I’ve looked at their website. So when turned up on the day they made me wait and just when the dentist appeared they called me over to pay, while he was standing behind the receptionist “ready to go” when I questioned why are they charging double than on their website she said it is stated as “from” (checked it later and it didn’t). So after using pressure sales techniques and feeling about to cry I felt I have no other option, as my family was waiting for me outside etc. I paid what they wanted and thought probably I shouldn’t argue with a dentist before going to be treated by him. He kept talking to me without using a face mask (at the time it was compulsory) then after the removal asked me to move to a different room while it’s bleeding as the next patient is waiting. He came back 5 min. later and without using gloves or washing his hands in front of me, he started touching the fresh wound. I was so upset by the whole experience that when I experienced pain I rather waited to be able to go back to my usual practice where they informed be based on my X-rays that it was unnecessary to take that tooth out and I will need to have further surgeries to raise now the bone up and to put an implant in. This is still ongoing after over a year so in my personal opinion he should never be allowed to remove a tooth again. And no thanks I will not raise this issue with this place as I would never want to talk to anyone there again after how I was treated. So if you truly want to save your smiles you better look somewhere else.

   I just want to say a massive thank you to Hanisha and Stacey for looking after me today for my treatment. I was an extremely nervous patient due to a bad experience at a different practice, but they looked after me and reassured me all the way through. The whole team at Saving Smiles have been fantastic from start to finish and I would highly recommend anyone who is a nervous patient to book in with them.
