Every single time we come here everything is outstanding , the staff are absolutely lovely and the food is extremely tasty , we come here quite often and it has never let us down. It’s always so warm , cosy and welcoming and the chefs are very understanding of our awkward selves when ordering food. 1000% recommend this place
A Perfect Pub Lunch Experience! What a fantastic find! We returned for a pub lunch and were blown away by how welcoming and friendly everyone was — both staff and locals alike. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a proper pub: cosy, relaxed, and full of charm. It’s wonderfully dog-friendly, too which you struggle to find theses days. The food was absolutely delicious — hearty portions, beautifully cooked, and clearly made with care. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavour. Whether you’re after a classic pub favourite or something a little different, the menu has plenty to choose from. Will definitely be returning !
We chose to go to the Woolpack to celebrate our wedding with our friends and family. Debbie, Martin and the team went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. It was no easy task to cater for such a large group of people, and on a Saturday night. Every effort was made to get everyone’s food out in a timely manner. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and so did everyone else! The pub itself is lovely, really inviting and just a lovely vibe. Thank you again for making our celebration so special and memorable- see you again soon
We were moored in the village and was told this was the best pub. It’s a lovely looking pub on a village green. The staff were all lovely and bubbly. We had food. I had the kebab the chicken was tasty. It was a shame the pea shoots and peppers were missing and the other bits of salad were sparse. My husband had the chicken and mushroom pie he enjoyed it. The onion rings were over cooked.
Just had a lovely meal at the woolpack again. Food great. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Lovely friendly country pub. Staff are all lovely and welcoming too. We usually take our little dog, and Always feel welcome with our dog too. Thank you all

Had a lovely lunch, beef lasagne followed by sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and glass of wine. Staff very friendly and cheerful. Pub decorated for Christmas and nice and warm. No complaints about anything. Will visit again soon
We visited on curry night. Delicious food, good portions and friendly attentive service. We had a few drinks too, which were well kept. Prices were good, got a free pint with the curry. Would recommend.
