Nice pub. The staff were friendly, it had relaxed atmosphere. I like the wrap around bar. We went after the football so only stayed for one but will visit again.

Visited teatime Saturday and we were the only ones in the pub. The Titanic Plum Porter was undrinkable for five of us and had to be replaced with Old Speckled Hen which wasn't very good either. The food is all African traditional food and the chef is a lovely African lady and her daughter, however, the fact that there is no 'normal' British food to choose at all is rather a drawback. I had the fish dish and the fish itself was lovely but I wasn't keen on the yam chips. The meat on the other plates was very lacking in any quantity and wasn't cooked very well. Uninspiring. The choice of accompaniment was yam chips or rice. Yam chips are awful... tasteless, pale but hard. There was a small portion of chilli dip and tomato dip on the plate (which isn't most people's taste) The food is cheap, but that won't draw me back to the pub I'm afraid. In summary, there isn't enough demand for beer so it goes off. The food is too niche and there's no 'normal' pub grub. It's a shame because the African girls are enthusiastic, as is the landlord, but you need to have a rethink of your strategy, I feel

Popped in for food after a day out today, never been here (pub or area) before. Food was stunning and great value, beer obviously well kept and the pub had a lovely atmosphere. Boss and staff really nice, we will definitely return!!
