The barmaid with the glasses is completely useless,just ignores you whilst your stood at the bar, first time I visited and walked out after 1 pint and waiting ten mins for another whilst she serves her friends.
Very pleased with the room at a high standard and great value for money, staff and owner fantastic, helpful and welcoming. Location in a perfect place. Would stay again.
Stayed over night from Edinburgh. The service and specifically Steve is excellent...great landlord 10/10 The rooms are beautiful, very clean and very comfortable bed. Absolutely wonderful little place! Rooms are spotless, comfy beds beautiful furnishings. There’s a great atmosphere in the pub-they have live music on & various events throughout the year. But the best part of this place is definitely the staff-Landlord is very knowledgeable and friendly, bar staff extremely polite and helpful. Great sense of community throughout, it really is a fantastic place, we will definitely return. Thank you for a fab stay!

We booked 3x rooms this weekend for a surprise 80th birthday party with family and friends and we loved our stay here. The rooms are spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was huge with soft towels which was a bonus. We made use of the fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, with fresh milk supplied too. The Manager couldn't do enough for us. A great find and visit.
The Pub its self is gorgeous with a traditional interior. The rooms should you want to stay the night are modern, comfortable and perfectly kept. The staff are amazing and incredibly considerate. I honestly couldn't recommend it more. Far better than any chain hotel by miles at a very reasonable cost.

Will stay again! We were visiting family in MowCop, was great location, room was extremely clean, comfortable and decorated to a high standard. Staff were lovely. We were in room 4, Literally the only thing i would change is swapping the location of the mirror on the wall with that of the picture. As someone who needed to use electronic hair tools and apply make up, not having a socket by the mirror and also blocking the entrance to the bathroom, when more than one person trying to get ready is something that could be easily avoided just by swapping those 2 items. Ended up having to use my phone in selfie mode to do my hair. Literally everything else about the stay was excellent.
