Wonderful pub . Staff always very welcoming and friendly. Food lovely. Lovely place to go and have a catch up with friends id highly recommend it.
Amazing food couldn’t ask for better service, everyone was so friendly we have booked for Christmas Day and a festive feast in between. So much better than with previous landlords would recommend. Super dog friendly our Pug loved her dinner of course we shared she’ll be back for Christmas lunch too!!!!!
Love coming to the marquis! The atmosphere is always really friendly and welcoming, whether you’re just popping in for a drink or sitting down for food. The place has a nice cosy vibe but still feels lively. The food is great – big portions, tasty, and always comes out hot. I’ve tried a few different things on the menu and never been disappointed. The roast is spot on, and the burgers are a must-try. I also really rate the sharer deal (3 for £15.49) – it’s such good value and perfect if you’re with friends. The staff make it even better – they’re always so friendly, quick to serve, and happy to help with anything. You really feel looked after when you’re here. Definitely one of the best pubs around – can’t recommend it enough
Food is lovely and well presented aswell as fast cooked. Service is really friendly and polite and so is the atmosphere calm and really good vibes. Very welcoming to everyone including children and its dog friendly.
Me and my hubby have had a truly gorgeous traditional xmas lunch, it was tasty well presented and served with a smile. There was a great choice of food. The pub has a great selection of drinks. All areas are very clean and the landlords are extremely friendly. We would highly recommend it.

Had our first taste of Thursday's Curry Night and I must say it was so good we're making it our fortnightly Date Night!! Poppadoms and chutneys followed by your choice of starter, a choice of curry (meat or vegetable) with rice, naan and chips for less than £15 is a fantastic deal for anyone. The quality, quantity and presentation were better than some restaurants I have been to and paid twice the price! We'll be seeing you in two weeks and I already can't wait!!!! ☺️
Warm welcome from satff, good food menu and drinks options, also thought the prices were fair given its homecooked and locally run. Chose the Black and Blue burger but swapped out the beef to a chicken burger, food was tasty, fresh and hot. Enjoyed the Stilton and mushrooms on top this burger. Will return to enjoy one of their Sunday roast dinners which regularly is sold out so will have to book in.
Went for steak night on Wednesday 5th October with my wife. We were met with a warm friendly greeting. My wife chose a rump steak and I had the sirloin, both were cooked as requested and the wine was a well known brand. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and thought £25.00 for 2 steak meals and a bottle of wine was great value.
