   It was such a lovely experience, my wife and I were visiting for the weekend and I was feeling a little under the weather so honestly wasn't feeling up for going, but didn't want to let her down. The staff, the cleanliness, the atmosphere and the locals were so welcoming and friendly. We had food which was great and well priced and the whole pub was so great with our dog Bucky. It really lifted my spirits and whenever we come back down to Buxton we'll be popping in every time, really lovely pub. The staff are a huge credit, nothing was too much, always big smiles. Really great pub.

   So glad we found this pub. We had a 1 night stay in Buxton and as it was raining, we went to the closest place to eat. Wow! The food was delicious, but the Sherry trifle cheesecake was amazing. Definitely worth a visit!

   We really loved this pub. The food was great. We're not fans of chips and usually eat only the meat and vegetables but everyone ate the chips lol strange thing to comment on I know! We stopped for food on our way to visit some other places. It was surprisingly busy and had a very local vibe. The staff were friendly and welcoming. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely pay this pub a visit.

   Ate here with a friend just for an easy lunch. Shared two sharers - the nachos and the chicken wings. Food was tasty, and served pretty quick. The pub itself was pretty busy, with a nice lunchtime atmosphere. Feels like an old style local pub, lots of TVs around and a pool table.

   It was a thoroughly delightful,delicious,delectable delivery of our dinners. The menu was good and reasonably priced, the service was good and staff were pleasant and friendly, they obviously love their job and we love them being there. We’ll definitely be returning.

   I have been here many times over the last 6 years. I am from the U.S. and I brought my husband over here with me for his first trip to England. King’s head was our first stop upon arriving in Buxton. I couldn’t wait to show him my favorite English pub and all the different ales and ciders. We had the steak and drink special and everything was fantastic! We’ll be back a few more times before we leave Buxton! Cheers!

   This was a meal with family for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. The food was all lovely, a friendly atmosphere and the staff even decorated the table with balloons for us. Everyone had a brilliant time.

   Arrived in Buxton on a Saturday night for a week's stay, We chose this pub for our first night's meal, Wasn't disappointed, Found a table to watch the football and the food was excellent, So good we came back on the Wednesday, When we got chatting to a lovely elderly couple who lived locally and are regulars visitors here. So all in all, Good choice of beer's, great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, Will return on my next visit to Buxton.
