We visited to meet up with family for my daughter's birthday and we had such an enjoyable experience, the food was incredible and served lovely and hot even with it being fairly busy! the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the environment was warm and welcoming, the children’s section is a nice touch and kept our kids entertained whilst we decided on what to eat! Will definitely be returning more regularly in 2026, well done to a fab team!

Great welcome, best battered fish we've had, clean and comfortable. Will return for the carvery next time!

Meeting up with friends from out of county, lovely welcome and shown to table. Varied menu to suit all of us and we all enjoyed our choices. My carvery, beef and turkey portions of good size, and excellent choice of vegetables was all delicious. Good value for money.

Went to the knot and plough for the first time after the big refurbishment and can truly say the place looks lovely. However the same cannot be said for the food. The bbq pulled pork fries can only be described as like canned meat that was just lightly blasted in the microwave. Chips were cold and bland. We also ordered a chicken and bacon baguette which didn’t come with the bacon in the sandwich and also was very stale. After talking to staff they bought out the bacon on a plate so that issue was rectified. My partner ordered a chicken banquet and said it was all very lukewarm and tasted like it was sat for hours under a hot plate. Would definitely go back just got a nice drink as the place is lovely but don’t recommend the food at all

I was in the area and remembered this place but hadn't been since back when it first opened. All of the food we ordered was really nice and staff were lovely too, regularly checked on us, took away plates etc asked if food was ok. My only complaints are there isn't enough gravy provided with the pie and chips but that's just personal preference, it didn't ruin it for me. The other thing was with it being a quiet Monday afternoon I did not expect the majority of what we wanted to be showing as out of stock - again this did not ruin it as there was still plenty of other options available. Still enjoyed the food and will be back when I'm next here.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The pub and restaurant areas were clean and pleasant. There is a nice little play area for the children in the restaurant area. There is a carvery and a wide choice on the menu. My only quibble is that the draft cider is Strongbow, there is a lot of better choices in this day and age.

Great freshly served food presented well and good customer service. The portion size was good. Clean tables. Pictured are chocolate fudge cake served with ice cream. Rocky road sundae.

Carvery wasn't up to standard. Meat left under heat light for don't know how long, was all dried up, be better covered in foil to keep moist til next customer if no queue. Beef was like chewing leather! Pudding was nice though. Pub itself is nice, friendly and polite staff.

Nice place been there twice, this second time im not happy with the steak so hard just the look of it. I said medium rare and its not. Staff are nice welcoming but the food will turn you away.
