We had our first visit to this incredible pub this weekend after moving to the village 2 months ago Oh my goodness ! What a hidden gem , the atmosphere is so incredible , so homely and welcoming , it was evident that the landlord Phil takes so much time to get to know every customer by name . Such a lovely guy and his wife Teresa who does the cooking (didn’t get to meet her because she was busy cooking ) but oh my lord ! It was the best Sirloin steak I’ve eaten in years , and I am a proper steak snob if it’s not done properly ! My hubby had the spicy lasagne and was amazed at how tasty all the home cooked food was ! Proper chips and not a frozen oven chip in sight ! Cannot recommend this little pub any higher We will be back very soon and Teresa needs a huge Michelin star for her home cooking xx

Great local pub which has a friendly atmosphere and fantastic fresh home cooked food that never disappoints. Book in advance for food as tables go quickly

A great pub. Great food and drink. Landlord is a gentleman and his wife a fantastic cook. I always have the gammon washed down with a few beers. Menu is varied, TVs not too intrusive and a good selection of drinks including the local gin. Take plenty of cash as they do not take cards. (they now take cards, still a fantastic pub:) I would travel to visit this pub but am lucky enough to live 2 mins away!
