   Been coming to the thistleberry for many of years. It’s a great place to go for sports, light bites and drinks. Decor needs updating but that’s down to the brewery so I’m told. Kate and the team do an amazing job and are always accommodating. Best pub in Newcastle by far.

   Manager needs lessons in customer services. very rude. Think its disgusting that the pub put an EXTRA £3.50 per head on party food, when the caterer charges £5.00 per head,total £8.50 per head, and still charge you for the function room. They dont tell you its cash only either to pay for party food and function room.

   Had the pleasure of organising and attending a wedding reception at the Thistleberry on Fri 2nd September. Mac and Trish are wholly accommodating, professional and very friendly. The facility is ideal, lots of room in the 'function' area, great bar staff - a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

   Recently went to my friends wedding reception in the function room. Good size and staff were friendly and welcoming. Dancefloor space was quite big too. Small bar but no ques to get drinks as staff were quick to fill orders. Ladies toilets were easy to find too.
