Made to feel really welcome by staff and customers and they have the coolest hand pumps I have seen in my entire life.
Iv been coming here infrequently since 1993 and it's the same now as then. Thats why its so good. It never changed and although im sure it had various owners over that time its exactly what it says on the tin. Everybody having a good time and getting on and its always attracted all kinds. Never seen in that time a single problem and that is what defines a good venue. Oh yeah the music is brilliant too. Keep it up.
A cosy place with a long bar pool table at one end & a smallish stage & viewiing area. I went to see Theatre of Hate with the greeat Kirk Brandon on Vocals & lead guitar. I was pleasantly surprised to see Stan Stammers on base as I had heard that he had been ill & may not attend. They were fantastic as always celebrating the anniversary of the Westworld album playing every track. I sang every word to every tune out loud & loved every minute. Standouts were Original Sin, Conquistador, Legion, Westworld & Incinerator. Everything I touch and hold it then turns into Stone ! Stone !
Forever a phenomenal venue. Great sound. A variety of bands play the venue. The entertainment provided by the DJ is fantastic and the bar staff work hard so we can play hard.

Went on a sat night to see a live band, I haven’t been here since I was 20 and it still felt the same! The atmosphere is electric, bar staff are just wonderful, plenty of places to sit and stand. A great night out, drinks are reasonably priced as well, very good selection of beers.
One of the oldest independent venues in Stoke, the Rigger is small but always has something going on such as local bands, cabaret, open mic, charity nights etc. A good night out if you’re into more alternative stuff.
