My family and I came here for lunch and we had the nicest food and beer. We ordered fish and chips, cheesy chips and cake. The portions were great and all the food tasted amazing! The staff were really friendly as well! We will definitely be visiting again soon!

Beautiful little spot. Lots of seating outside. Plenty of free parking. The toilets were clean, i loved the tiles!!! We arrived and took a table, it was busy inside and out. We were told we had to wait 30 minutes just to order, but we weren't in a rush and looking around we could tell it will be worth the wait. We had a variety of food, pizza, burger, soup, tart... All of which were a big portion, and very tasty and fresh. The fish and chips looked and loaded fries on the next table looked amazing too.... My phone died unfortunately so I couldn't take photos.

An absolutely gorgeous place to visit. Just outside Alton Towers resort. Its much more cheaper than the food their and you get a lot more for your money. My friend and I visited after going to the Alton Towers water park. We found this hidden gem and fell in love with it as soon as we saw this place. The gardens are really nicely laid out, infront of the river, there is seating outside with parasols. There is also a ice cream van outside as well. The pub itself is very quirky and the staff are really pleasant and polite. The food was beautiful and it was just the right portion. I would love to visit this place again, I have also recommended this place to my parents as well.

Beautiful and reasonably priced pub just outside Alton towers resort. Massive beer garden . Was only lacking atmosphere as we were there quite early but the beer garden looked a fantastic place to be with an outside bar and ice cream van

A lovely little local olde pub, we came on a Saturday evening, about 5:30pm. Drinks reasonably priced. Very friendly local crowd and very tasty freshly cooked pizza available from the bridge hotel hatch about £12-13 each.

First time at this really lovely pub for a Sunday carvery in a really picturesque part of the county. Great service, lots of staff. Reasonably priced and good quality delicious food. Great selection of beer. Enjoyed it all sat in front of the toasty fire with our tired dogs. Will be back. Highly recommend

Amazing food, friendly staff and great value for money. Stopped here after a day out and arrived just as the kitchen was closing. The staff made an exception, and we were so glad they did! Great roast. After a small mix up they even gave us complimentary homemade Yorkshire puddings which were very much appreciated!

Wow, I have been to Alton Towers hundreds of times and and never spotted this hidden gem. The location is perfect with a river, outdoor seating both in the sun and covered, with views of the castle, river and forests. Then there is indoor seating in a historic pub with retro styled booths, seating and ambience. The staff are happy, chatty and very attentive. The food was well priced, served quickly and very tasty. Great experience overall and definitely my favorite country retreat.
