We only had a drink, but they had some nice beers on tap and the atmosphere was great. Really like the beer garden area.

Old man is very rude and unwelcoming. Made me feel self conscious when ordering water and forced us to buy something, and so, at another time, I didn’t order a drink as I only wanted water but didn’t want him to be snide again, so I said I was fine with nothing and he disproved of it and said I can’t really be here without ordering. Both these times I was with a group who had all ordered a drink and I think I can legally sit in the pub for the social aspect?? Just to add, I usually order a drink but these last two interactions have made me feel unwelcome and I felt it was unnecessary.

A great real ale pub, efficient bar team. Several locations inside and outside to relax in. Great beer garden and inside/outside conservatory type area. Open fire in the snug in winter. Very reasonable prices for great quality beers etc. Bar snacks available but not a full food menu, more of a wet pub with nibbles.

The Lodge has triumphed again this weekend with a great music afternoon and footy in the evening (shame about the result). Carl and Sarah never disappoint, great owners and hosts with their fingers on the pulse when it comes to quality and variety of beer, a constantly changing choice whilst retaining the firm favourites that customers favour. Such a lot of transformational work has been carried out here both internally and externally, a great place to meet friends and chat with regulars. Last afternoon/evening ran like clockwork so well done to all your hardworking staff who support you. "Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came" from the theme tune to Cheers for those old enough to remember it! So "Cheers! to Carl, Sarah and all the staff.

Always a good selection of beers. The lodge is a very popular place for a drink also very well kept, a credit to the owners.

Real ale, lots of them, all good and well looked after. Also lagers, wine and spirits. Dogs allowed. Oh pork pies as well. Open fires, nice outside seat and no sports.
