I had to visit the PDSA with a cat I found that had been run over. The staff were brilliant, letting me go through the side door so people in the waiting room wouldn't see the cat that had died en route. They were kind and considerate and helped me find the owner of the cat shop I could tell them what had happened.

I brought my cat to this clinic on Wednesday when she was already in a very bad condition. All they did was an ultrasound, after which they told me there was no space to take her blood tests and that I should come back on Friday. The only thing they prescribed was a probiotic. My cat’s condition was very severe and critical, and waiting until Friday was extremely dangerous. I then went to a private clinic on my own, where they immediately explained how serious the situation really was. Unfortunately, precious time had already been lost. I find such a careless attitude towards an animal’s life unacceptable. If you truly love your pets, please think twice before trusting this clinic with their health. Sadly, my beloved pet is no longer with me, and this is a loss I am still struggling to cope with. I am writing this review because I do not want anyone else to go through the same painful experience.

Lovely front of house team and Jenna the vet was so friendly and helpful and really reassured me that everything was ok. Super easy consultation. I would possibly suggest a waiting area for people who are coming in to say goodbye to their pets, and this is the only reason not to give 5*. It's a horrible decision to make and a very personal one, and i know i wouldn't want to have a room full of strangers seeing me like that. Having lost a dog myself and being worried for my current dog, I not only felt guilty and sympathetic for the owners, but it's just not nice for anyone, including your reception team. The receptionists and vets are all so friendly and knowledgeable; the service I've received has been 5*

Absolutely shocking. Called as an emergency as my 14 year old dog suddenly developed a UTI whereby he could not pass urine and was passing literally a few drops of pure blood. He was given a slot that had just been cancelled by someone else for the following day. Otherwise he would not have been given an appointment. He can't be mixed with other animals so had to wait in a baking hot vehicle with myself who has a life threatening condition of anaphylaxis to heat and stress. I gave the vet the blood in a jar. No antibiotics were given. He could could hardly drink and was very lethargic. It was hell. The following day no one called with the results, as this was the only way they would give antibiotics. I called and in tbe phone for 45 minutes. It was eventually answered by the person at Brighton, who said that passing 10mls of blood in 48 hours is not "passing nothing" so he was fine and was well enough to wait for a week for the results. This place should be shut down. A UTI is life threatening especially when pure blood is passed, no fluid intake in 48 hours and the animal becoming more and more lethargic and out of it. I was then told to bring the dog downwhich I cant do as I am disabled myself and cannot pick him and cannot afford a taxi. The person was so rude and put the phone down on me. I have had an anaphylaxis myself and my dog has been left to die. If someone, whether that's an animal or person has a UTI, antibiotics should be administered ASAP. My dog is seriously unwell. There are not words, how these people cannot know that a UTI will kill.

Very nice staff and clean place but now they've removed the restrictions and appointments, everyone is coming in at the same time causing over crowding and slower service. Also it's a terrible location, with the train going past constantly she is even more afraid to go in and even while sat in the car, she starts shaking when the train passes. Not great for anxious dogs.

Awfully Situated.... The worst possible location you could have it.. Why not.. move it to the top of the hills in woodingdean or something..?? or atleast somewhere more accessible! Ripped front bumper off car trying to drive into the TINY TINY car park too!! So if you're gonna stay there, atleast sort the entrance /exit out. Nice one, Shevy G.

The care and service provided by PDSA was a great comfort to us on a very sad day. They were all very professional but also sensitive. We are extremely grateful to this hospital and wholeheartedly recommend them.

My cat had been brought into the PDSA by a neighbour and was severely I'll, he was looked after with care until his final moments. The team were amazingly respectful and sympathetic as I was devastated. Absolutely would recommend this surgery.
