Melanie came out to my property and designed a new kitchen for me. She was friendly and professional throughout the whole process. Thanks also to Billy who helped me out too with a couple of queries in store.

I stopped by to buy some doors, hinges and handles and the trip went really smoothly. The store layout made it simple to find what I needed, and when I wasn’t sure about one of the sizes a member of staff gave me clear advice and pointed me to the right option. Prices were reasonable and the range of choices was bigger than I expected. Checkout was quick and parking outside was easy, so the whole visit felt straightforward and hassle free. A good spot if you’re sorting out home improvements.

For James and Dom. I have been shopping at Wickes for the past 18 years, and the service has always been outstanding. A special mention goes to James and Dom, who have been absolutely fantastic in helping me choose the right materials every step of the way. Their eye for detail and expertise have been invaluable, especially in supporting my builders over the years. Their recommendations and guidance have made every project smoother and more successful. I can’t thank them enough for their exceptional service and professionalism. Wickes has always been my go-to for quality products and reliable advice, and it’s because of team members like James and Dom. Highly recommended!

Be aware that if you don't have your receipt, they won't accept returns. Other than that it's a good general building supplies.

Used to shop at Wickes for the quality and value. Last visit to buy some timber and iron work to build a garden gate. The wood was very wet and I had sort through the pile for timber that wasn't warped or covered in mould. When I came to fit the catch it was bent and was shocked how flimsy it was. I was able to bend it straight with my fingers. Staff are unhelpful and miserable.

Generally well stocked but the range of tools is surprisingly limited given they apparently target themselves at professional tradespeople. Prices are all over the place, especially for premixed concrete so do your sums if you care about cost. On a slightly different note, the entrance to the car park is an accident waiting to happen. There simply isn't room to get two large vehicles around the corner and visibility is poor. Why not have a second opening? There is plenty of space for it. Final gripe, why do trade get 10% off? Is their money superior in some way? We all pay cash (I assume) and help ourselves so it's not like we are extra trouble is it?

Wickes DIY/TRADE outlet on the Riverfield retail park covers most of your DIY needs popular with local traders for builders supplies aswell as the public for the keen DIY,er chepest for most of your DIY needs compared to other nearby stores with similar items. Disabaled parking spaces are nearby along the front of the carpark along with trade parking bays by the Stores doors.
