I was initially very reluctant to replace our old wood and glass flat door with a solid door and fire resistant plaster board to cover the old and non-compliant single glazed side panels. It had to be done however and RTJ were able to provide this at £2000 less than the ‘at cost’ quote obtained by our freeholders. I am so pleased I made this decision. The door has exceeded expectations and has made the flat feel cosier and more private. An unexpected bonus is that noise and echos from the communal hallway seem much reduced. We are now FD60 compliant and I am very happy to recommend RTJ of Sussex.
I needed a new front door to be compliant with current fire regulations. Roy and his team got the job as an affordable price was quoted. They arrived on time and got the door changed with minimum disruption to myself. Cleaned up as they worked and were very polite and efficient. I would highly recommend Roy and his team, very impressive.

Roy was polite. But 90 minutes late to agreed time, which messed up our day, with only a text message at very short notice. We agreed in advance he will fix a garden gate, and fill & paint walls with small holes. He did not know how to fix the gate, despite seeing in advance what was needed. He then filled some holes in the wall, working very slowly, but did not do any of the painting we agreed he will do, which was the main thing we needed his help with... then he had a cigarette break, and tried to charge us for 2 full hours work, which he did not do. Apart from walking on carpets and standing on our piano stool with muddy shoes, we were basically forced to pay him £150 for filling a few small holes in the walls, which we could have done ourselves. He now wants us to pay him an extra £25 despite him not actually doing most of what we hired him to do. I would not recommend you use him, very disappointed, Unreliable! Time wasted and money wasted. We now booked someone else who knows what they are doing.

Roy Smith is the owner of Sussex Property Services. We contracted with Roy to provide a complete refresh and decorating service for a new home we purchased in Bexhill. We are living in the United States, and we had complete confidence in Roy and his team. They repainted the interior of the house after arranging new plastering in all the rooms. They found many issues in the walls and completely repaired those areas. We added new skirting in a few rooms, new carpet, new flooring. During the process we discovered many maintenance issues which Roy promptly dealt with. When we needed a roofer right away Roy found one. The kitchen got a complete refresh and it looks beautiful! The back yard needed a lot of work, and Roy cleaned it up, repaired the back yard wall and fence, and added grass. He also installed many safety features, including repairing windows, gates, latches, and locks. All this was completed in record time, and the work was very professional, and every detail was seen to. Most of all working with Roy was a delight. He kept us informed of progress on a daily basis, and was conscious of our budget. We highly recommend Roy Smith and his company!!
