This guy will make ridiculously low offers so make sure you know what you're selling. Preferably go to somewhere reputable that will offer you the going rate.
I've just had a heartfelt experience at Coopers. I went to see if they could repair a very sentimental watch for me whereby the watch strap had broken. I went to collect it. It was there ready and waiting for me .. I asked how much and he said " No, you don't need to pay" !!! I was flabbergasted.... I tried to insist but he simply said "no". It just shows that there really are some truly kind people working amongst us, especially at times like they are at the moment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart x
You will not meet friendlier more helpful staff anywhere. I cannot recommend these Jewellers highly enough. Look out for the Whale Tail necklaces. Exceptionally popular and made by staff. They are genius

My husband and I worked with Elayne to create my engagement ring and our wedding bands. We wanted to upcycle gold and stones from some of our mothers’ jewelry to make pieces that were sentimental and unique. Elayne helped us design the pieces and source additional stones - which I can honestly say was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life! Playing around with shapes and colors, Elayne has a great eye and made a slightly overwhelming project easy and relaxing. I can't say enough about Cooper's. It is run by a father and son. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Their prices are very reasonable, and they give a very fair price for your scrap gold and silver, unlike a jeweller in Lewes who really screwed me some years ago. I'm really glad that I found them. And southwick square itself is a lovely little shopping center, with plenty of car parking around the back of the shops.
Coopers are amazing, helpful and reliable. They helped to get my engagement ring made for me, so obviously we went to them to make our wedding bands. Simon was wonderful, knowledgeable and professional throughout. I would, without hesitation, recommend Coopers 100% of the time.
