After two days of excruciating agony brought on by a dodgy wisdom tooth, on a Friday night I eventually contacted 111. They arranged for me to see the dentist here first thing on the Saturday morning. Dentist Tom and dental nurse Amanda, together with very friendly and helpful reception staff, sorted me out in a little under 20 minutes. The tooth was X rayed and extracted with absolutely no pain or discomfort. The dentist and nurse were reassuring, kind, gentle and informative on post extraction care. When the anaesthetic wore off, there was absolutely no pain, bleeding or discomfort. This emergency service is something Shropshire should be proud of. They helped me when I needed it. Thank you so much.

Due to being immune compromised I was referred by 111 early on a Saturday morning due to new pain seven days after molar extraction. Didn’t think I’d be able to see anyone at all but having spoken to the staff I was seen at the Dental Surgery in Castle Foregate within 25 minutes of ringing. Examined and reassured by one of the dentists and home again by 10.15 a.m. Fantastic service by 111 and the local NHS dentist service. When the system works it works! Thanks to everyone who gave support and help.

Having a rather sensitive tooth appear over the weekend and not having a regular dentist, I rang several today. The only one who had an appointment this week was here. As I have panic attacks and anxiety at the slightest new "thing" I let the receptionist know. She was very understanding letting me know what to expect. I was called in to the treatment room and explained exactly how I felt and having panic attacks. I had an x-ray and the dentist talked me through the result. We talked and decided that the tooth needed to go. As I went in to full panic mode, the lovely nurse found a fidget toy to help (which it did) then,.. basically the tooth was out. For someone who has a hard time, this is the dentist I will be using when needed. Fantastic thank you all so much.
