   Staff leaving big packing trollies and cages in the middle of aisles really unhelpful. Scan and shop closed so had to queue to pay which defeated the time saving idea. Young girl on customer service desk was just rude and I told her she needed some manners! She had no name badge on either or would have reported her. Did tell her colleague who seemed to be training her that he needed to include good manners though. Dreadful experience today and will use Goldington store instead in future. In contrast young man collecting trollies outside was really polite. Maybe he should be on customer service!

   Love tesco however the pharmacy leaves a lot to be desired. Also cannot get through to complaints so bit suspect. Pharmacy choosing who they serve first, pointedly ignoring customers , very angry and upset so avoid the pharmacy.

   An average trip to this store involves: trying to squeeze recycling into the over-full, inaccessible cage at the entrance, playing the scan and pack lottery (is it open or not? I am told it isn't operational at certain hours due to lack of staff - there were 5 staff members chatting to each other at the selfpack area tonight whilst I had to scan my own stuff at the checkout), dodge the empty boxes strewn across the aisle floors, avoid the pickers and packers who are totally oblivious to any actual shoppers, receive underwhelming assistance at the end before going into the car park via the people hanging around outside! Riverfield Drive branch is far superior - but unfortunately not near enough for a regular shop!

   Review: Outstanding Customer Service by Mason – Tesco, Cardington Road, Bedford I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service provided by Mason at the Tesco store on Cardington Road, Bedford. Mason went out of his way to assist my son and me in locating an item in the store. He was not only professional and knowledgeable, but also incredibly kind and patient, making sure we found exactly what we were looking for. In an age where good customer service can be hard to come by, Mason truly stood out. Thank you, Mason, for your helpful attitude and for taking the time to make our visit a positive experience. You are a credit to the Tesco team!

   Can't really say I rate this Tesco's highly, the basket self checkout was painfully slow the woman working in the area didn't seem to know what she was doing was also more content on talking to other staff members then getting people's red lights sorted, picking staff in the aisles were quite ignorant in the fact they was picking and having conversations with each other blocking foodstuffs wile talking and not moving out of the way. Meaning what was meant to be a quick break time visit to get lunch took nearly 20 minutes.

   Excellent layout, has everything you need and has a very convenient location for many people who live in and around Bedford. Never had any issues here. Maybe it has something to do with nostalgia, but this is definitely the best Tesco I’ve ever been to.

   In addition to being one of the best all-round branches of Tesco in the area, it also has one of the best value for money supermarket cafés. I can recommend the southern fried chicken wrap, and the chips were cooked to perfection. They make a mean cappuccino, too ☕️

   Definitely my favourite Tesco Extra store. The staff are so lovely and really helpful. They really know how to make you feel welcome. The manager Toby and Deputy manager Dave certainly know how to make you feel at home in the store and work alongside their staff to help them with the work load. Keep up the fantastic work!
