The level is a great local park, a great and safe play park for kids, a massive green for chilling or ball games, a water feature that kids love to keep cool in and a table tennis area. Always open any time of day

The Level is up there with the best world parks: Kralingenplas Rotterdam, Hvezda Parkm Prague and Central Park, NYC. Sure you'll meet some nutters but it's all part of life's rich tapestry. The saga of the closed cafe is pretty funny - it won awards for having a green roof which then leaked and the company refused to repair it what the hell, another council error. Plenty of places to pee at night though, so don't worry.

Great spot for kids and the dogs. Has a play park and a skate park. Sadly if you have much younger kids best keep an eye on them around the skate park. Sometimes you have the teens who think they cool there drinking and smoking weed which is off putting - But its not that often.

This place is great. Our very own turbo island. The council renovated it about 7 years ago, and it floods/gets boggy, so they recently put a load of gravel down and re-grew the grass over it. They are currently down there digging it up again, wasting more money. I'm pretty sure the whole valley all the way to the beach is re claimed marshland, so you would think whoever the surveyor was would have accounted for that 7 years ago. Anyway, I look forward to the next dumb solution we dont need

Aways something happening. In a good way and in a bad way. Seen fighting, robbery and other unpleasant things. Twice this year I have had people trying to rob me. Seen police vans darting across the green many times . Plus please be aware of drug needles on the grass, bushes and toilets. On a good day it's the best park in Brighton and Hove but on a bad day, it can be a nightmare. But still by a long way the best place to chill in Brighton.

Nice walking place anytime. I generally have a quick walk after every meal. There is a skate area, I see lot of kids, adults showing their skating skills here.

Wonderful space for all sorts. Cafe, skateboarding, playground, green grass, toilets... Watching skaters is good fun - some are brilliant. Easy access.
