The front of house staff were lovely, friendly, and very helpful right from the start. The menu has plenty of options; we tried the mixed grill and the hunters chicken, and both were fantastic, steak cooked perfectly. Drinks deals from Monday to Thursday are a great bonus. Had a wonderful day out and can’t wait to come back soon.
My partner and I popped in for a impromptu Friday night dinner date and all I can say is that it was fantastic. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely mackenzie who was very attentive towards us and knew her role very well. Upon mentioning our allergies she promptly spoke to the kitchen and alternatives were made to accommodate us. I was very happy with the level of service that all the staff showed. Our second server Rees was also very attentive and quick with his service. We never wanted for anything and were always kept in good spirits. The food was perfect and I can't mark it down for anything. It's very rare that I give something top marks but it's well deserved. I will hope to be back soon with friends to enjoy an evening of good food and company.
Lovely hotel, set beside a beautiful river so picturesque, we popped in today for lunch, we were warmly greeted by 2 lovely staff. The restaurant looked lovely and clean. The food was very reasonable price and so delicious, I had the minted lamb burger, the portion sizes are big and the presentation is superb. Little extras on the plate like homemade parsnip crisps were definitely a winner !! Compliments to the chef !! We will definitely visit here again, well worth a visit.
I wanted to give this hotel owner 5stars because even though I had to cancel my booking at the last minute, when I explained the reason they did not hesitate one moment not to charge the full booking as they had every right to do according to the terms and conditions. I might not have managed to stay with them yet but I will surely do in the future and recommend them every chance I get for their decency and professionalism. Thank you!
The breakfast is delicious and generous portion with juice and coffee. Steph was incredibly helpful and welcoming and was so patient and thoughtful with my special needs child who has trouble with feeling confined and often takes a wander. She ensured all doors were closed downstairs so he could have a walk whilst we ate. She brought colours and paper for him. She made us feel valued as guests. The rooms were beautiful and the bed was very comfortable.
Not my first time here, on every visit I have experienced a comfortable stay with great friendly service, good food both breakfast and meals in the Restaurant,over the years I have had some great family celebrations here.
Great hotel in a fantastic location. The staff made me feel very welcome and the room was very clean and well presented. The food was very good and I would gladly stay there again.
Nice big pub in the town centre. Located next to the river. We had to wait for a while to place the other and get the food as there were a staff shortage. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Food was good and portions very generous. The grilled mix is huge. It’s supposed to be for one person and not shared. After all we had a good dinner.
