Took our two mini schnauzers there Saturday, was very pleased with staff friendliness and how the dogs were cared for and made to look beautiful again. Recommend them.
Having used the grooming here a few times now was happy. But received a call today to re arrange our booking for another month as a member of staff has booked dogs in when ours was booked in and we had paid a deposit. They had been made aware that she is a rescue dog and not great with other dogs and has been groomed there before. Since she has just come back from kennels and is a bit smelly she needed a wash and groom, and was booked a couple of weeks back to make sure. Was told the cost would increase If i still wanted to keep that day. So unfortunately you have now lost a customer with 2 dogs.

We got an appointment quickly, care was taken with instructions and a warning that my dog was not a fan of clippers and to proceed with caution. He was scrubbed up beautifully! I arrived before his session was over and watched them use clippers on him with no problems. It's not a show ring cut (to be fair it was a big job incl bits of forest), but he's happy, I'm happy and that's what counts. We had a terrible experience with a high end groomer in Carms, so this was literally the biggest relief for both of us. The staff were very kind and good with him and he came home looking flash and feeling relaxed. Thank you!!!!!
I took both my dogs for grooming. I wasn't aware the previous groomer had left but I assumed that as they were under the umbrella of Pets at Home that the new groomers were as excellent as the previous one. Originally I was told the two dogs would take around three and a half hours which was what I expected from previous visits however I was called after one and a half hours to be told both dogs were ready. When I had the phonecall I immediately thought something had gone wrong, perhaps one of the dogs wasn't willing. I was told they were both well behaved. I had asked for them to be tidied up, I didn't want a close shave. I could see when I collected them that not a lot had been taken off but that was ok, I could tell them to take off more next time. Well there won't be a next time. I got them home and had a better look at them and frankly they still looked a mess. I'd only requested the beards under the chin were left , they were but the feathering at the back of their legs had gone although I'd also asked them to keep it. It's what they hadn't done that annoyed me, the excess hair on the top of the ears, the hair on the side of their face, the area around their back end was unshaved so going to the loo will still be a messy business. I appear to have paid nearly £90 for a bath and their nails cut. I even forgave one of my dogs bleeding onto the floor from a nail cut too short because accidents can happen but if that is their idea of tidying them up then going there was an expensive mistake. They are still looking untidy. It was a rushed unprofessional job and I'm very angry and dissatisfied with the result. Apart from asking them not to shave too much hair off I expected a full groom and I didn't get it. Now I'm going to have to take them somewhere else to be properly groomed only this time I'll be asking my friends to recommend a good one.
Suki has been to the groom room today, I think that's her 3rd visit now. She always comes out all happy and bouncy, which tells me she has been looked after and probably fussed. The full groom is worth every single penny, fantastic as usual today and always helpful and friendly.
Taken my Jack Russell there twice now and they have provided an excellent service. My dog was initially scared of the dryer but the sensitive way they treated him overcame this. Have already rebooked him in for his next wash and groom!
