   Really enjoying the 'able' workouts and fitness classes at Fitness First. The swimming pool and sauna are both an added bonus. I would recommend to anyone thinking of joining a gym or simply want to improve overall fitness.

   I’ve joined Fitness First a month ago and have been attending 3 times a week. My induction was carried out by Vicky who was amazing. She really made me feel welcome. I’m enjoying the workout that she set and the equipment and facilities are excellent. All the staff keep the place clean and are really motivated in helping me achieve my goal of better overall health & fitness.

   Clean gym area but dirty men's toilets where certain male patrons leave their doo doo in the toilet without care or consideration for the next user. Quite quiet on the morning of our visit apart from a class taking place inside. Equipment was all well maintained and of good quality. Staff were polite and helpful. Steam room was a bit congested. A very good workout place with very few meatheads.

   Have been going to this gym for more than half a year now, and I think it definitely holds up as one of the better gyms in Bedford. Although the price is a little on the steep side, there are plenty of good quality machines available, as well as a plethora of classes on offer. The staff are all friendly and no matter what time of day will always welcome you with a friendly smile. Management don't appear to be afraid to upgrade/update equipment when signs of wear and tear are showing, which is refreshing and very much appreciated. Maybe my only gripe would be the shower facilities, as although they have recently just gotten new glass windows which now thankfully block out the sight of the naked man next to you, the doors still lack locks which I think is a bit archaic.

   I have never gone to a gym before. All the staff have been really friendly and helpful, without them it would have been much tougher. All the classes I have done so far have been great and the facilities are very good. I read some reviews mentioning the equipment is quite old, I would say even if they are, they work great and are clearly very well maintained. I would much rather older reliable equipment than newer stuff. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room are excellent. If I was being picky I would say that the sauna could be a little hotter and the swimming lanes could be wider (3 instead of 4 in the pool). But the place is very clean and the water is warm enough to really enjoy swimming. I adore the cold showers next to the sauna since these are essential for me to use after using the sauna. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone. We are really lucky to have a gym of this quality in Bedford.

   Awful facilities do not join!! Club has not been updated and still has the same equipment from 10 years ago! Has not moved with the time. No complaints about the staff as they are lovely but if you’re looking for a gym with new facilities then avoid this club. Other fitness first clubs I have been to always seem to have new/better equipment this is the only club that is stuck in the old age

   Friendly gym but equipment very out dated: There are many good positives about training here, staff nice, friendly people, clean gym area, good opening hours, excellent parking. But on the downside the equipment is very old, CV equipment has seen better days, for the price that they charge unless you swim i do not believe you are getting value for your money.

   Recently joined after switching from another gym. Really like the facilities, loads of great equipment and a lot of variety. Pool is also great, clean steam room and sauna. Showers and changing rooms are always clean too! Used my free 30 min PT session and would recommend it. Really useful to have some tailored advice on equipment I was unfamiliar with!
