Erin hosted us tonight and she was great. Service with a smile and nothing was too much for her. Thank you.

When we arrived we had a look around for staff as no one to be seen, when a staff member did appear,we were asked to sit in bar area as restaurant is a pigsty, not a good first impression! Requested our table be cleaned as it was really sticky we noticed a lot of tables were not cleared.Food finally arrived not impressed at all, we ordered desserts our table was not cleared until the desserts arrived. Very poor service will not be going back.

I used this pub for food for 2 evenings as I was staying in the adjoining Premier Inn and utilised their “meal-deal” offer. The first evening I had a steak which was “okay” but nothing more. A cheap piece of meat ultimately. I forgot to take a pic but I wasn’t overly impressed. I mean you can’t expect the best steaks going but I would have hoped for a bit better. The second evening I had the prawns to start which were quite nice with the sauce. Then for main I had the chicken which I doubled up on, wished I’d of had this the first night as was definitely better than the steak. The staff seemed a little gormless, all looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there! Aside from one blonde young lady behind the bar who was very good, enthusiastic & helpful which was nice. The pub itself, I don’t know…. Seemed a bit scruffy, worn and a bit dated. I guess its customer base is largely trades staying over at the hotel so they have to accommodate for this. The car park is decent with it being flat at easily accessible.

Was told there was a wait for food witch was fine ordered 8 ounce sirloin steak with chips &onion ring. When it arrived it was almost stone cold the hottest part of the meal was the pepper I put on the chips paid £16 for a £4 asda steak won't be visiting again. Also kids running around chucking balls over the place landing on people's tables while eating seemed astho they were ferrel

I recommend pub + softplay. 4 stars as food is typical pub type ;) nothing too healthy for kids or adults. Softplay is really good although I would recommend for at least 3y +

Was freezing cold in there, had to ask for some heating. Meals were tiny with coleslaw missing and brown rotten salad that had to go back. Pudding had half its topping missing and recipe had changed, tasted cheap and nasty ( caramel apple pie). All in all not a gd experience.

Not very busy when we arrived but mostly ignored by staff, trying to get drinks and food ordered was like they were too busy to take our order. Food was good, but probably won't go there again.

It was so bad, I'll never go back. Run by kids with no service experience and a chef that doesn't know how to cook a steak, or present food. Not only that but they don't know how to order food stock either. Or present the correct bill. 2 carverys and a drink on our bill we never had. We had a party of 10, so could have been easily missed. See pictures. Avoid avoid avoid !!!

Main man on the door, was very attentive and did a great job, food was enjoyable, but not very hot, which is why they lose 1 star. Also told its all table service due to covid, with only 4 people sitting should have been a walk in the park. Perhaps they needed one person visible and available all the time. One customer had to get up and go to the main area, to ask for the bill, later on two children had to go up and ask for onion rings, minor points, but shouldn't have been necessary.
