The hotel rooms need a complete overhaul. The rooms are dirty and I found small curly hairs on the duvet. My first room had a very big brown stain on the ceiling from water damage. The heating did not work, I spoke to maintenance and reception and they did say there was a problem with the heating all over the hotel. I moved rooms and that was no better, complained again and they offered me another room which was even colder. In the end I left the hotel and went somewhere else. Please be careful when booking, it’s an awful place.

Stayed here last week shocking service feel sorry for the front desk team who take all the complaints and management hide behind the door and really don't care!! bumped into a senior manager I expressed my concerns only to be laughed at!!! I had no heating for two nights I complained yet nothing was done the maintenance manager told me that headoffice won't clear the 27k bill to sort the heating out! I paid over £133 per night it should have been a tenner!! Still awaiting the call back that was promised by IHG nd the front desk however everyone is hiding. Avoid this hotel like the plague!

Holiday Inn, Milton Keynes East. I sent the below to customer services over a week ago and haven't had any response We stayed at the above hotel Saturday 25th October. We were there for the Fawlty Towers themed weekend. we were in room 14. Booked by my partner. As part of the deal we paid for an Afternoon Tea. The following is what we encountered: 1. As we walked down the corridor to the room where the Tea was being held, we had to step over some large pipes running into what appeared to be a boiler room, 2. When we were seated, the room was very cool as the heating wasn't working, some of the staff started bringing in some oil filled electric heaters to try and heat a very large room. 3. There were very few staff members, so we had to wait quite a while to be served with hot drinks and then to get the food as the staff were only just getting set up when we entered the room. 4. When we returned to our room, it was very cool inside it, I tried turning up the thermostat on the radiator but that didn't work, the radiator stayed cold. So I called reception to tell them them the problem and was told 2 other rooms had also complained of the same thing, the receptionist said there was nothing they could do as housekeeping had gone home and there was no maintenance personnel either. I asked for an electric heater, and was told that they would try and get one. In the meantime we went to our friends room in room 2 as they had an electric heater in their room as their radiator wasn't working either. 5. When we went back to our room, there was no sign of a heater. We got changed to go to the dinner disco in the cool of our room. 6. Luckily the events room had warmed up a bit when we got there in the evening. The 1st course was soup, but there was no soup spoons on the table only a dessert spoon, I also had to ask for condiments as there was any either. The food itself was very good. 7. When we went back to our room, around midnight, there was still no heater. 8. When we went to breakfast in the morning, again there was initially only one member of staff, another turned up sometime later. There was a lack of fried eggs, bacon and mushrooms. When we asked the staff member to get it topped up, we were told that it would be 40 minutes as the gas had gone off in the kitchen. The items did come out sooner but it was still about 15+ minutes. I have to say, it felt like we were actually at the Fawlty Towers Hotel. We were not impressed by all that happened.

Really nice looking hotel in a convenient place for what I was looking for. BUT... 6:30pm on a Saturday nigh in a "full" hotel: - There was one person operating the bar part-time... they'd do it for 10 minutes, then disappear for 20. - Air conditioning in both the rooms I booked was not working (some sort of error message was on the control panel) - was told by the hotel that they could not get anyone to come and look at it until Monday / no other rooms available - One of the rooms was booked as a twin (ie two single beds) but we were given a double - Despite providing my car registration details, received a £100 parking "invoice" Sooooo... - Completed the post booking survey, noting the above and ticked the box to receive a call back... no one rang - Escalated to IHG - they tried to be helpful - advised that a senior manager from the hotel would call within 48 hours (including weekends)... but no one called (and this person has to cancel the parking notice too!) While writing this I'm the phone to IHG again - have been waiting 25 minutes while they try to find this "senior manager". All I can say is... hotel looks nice, but service is 0/10

Yes it's dated, and the rooms are overdue a refurb. But the staff are friendly, it's quiet, and (for what I paid) extremely great value. Breakfast was actually really good, and the food on offer in the bar was significantly better than expected - and fairly priced. They keep apologising about the long term roadworks outside which means it's a bit more complicated to access, but they really don't cause a problem. Parking is free as long as you put your reg in the terminal - but there are 8 foot high banners at each entry door reminding you to do this! I would definitely stay again for work.

I have had the pleasure of staying here for work. The staff are friendly and welcoming. As it’s a holiday that host events the staff where very informative. The location is amazing quiet even though the M1 is a stone throw away.. The breakfast is always fresh and dinner options where great. Restaurant staff where really nice. The room cosy and spacious. Good for working and relaxing. Water pressure was amazing as well and the room clean. If you in the area need a comfy spot to rest I would recommend.

Used the hotel as a celebration evening. Everything was perfect. Food was excellent. Room was ideal for what we wanted and they did everything we asked in preparation. I’ve had may good comments from out guests complementing the hotel and we would definitely use your venue again if we had another event.

Lovely old building not at all typical of your normal Holiday Inn. Spent one night here attending a wedding. Staff and service were amazing. Food was great both at the reception and at breakfast. Hard to fault!

Absolutely shocking service. Poorly managed staff and disgusting attitude from management when trying to complain. Our wedding in August 2022 was completely ruined, we paid for the biggest wedding package. The DJ the hotel provided for the evening wedding reception was drinking alcohol and ended up spilling a pint on his equipment which then meant that we had no evening entertainment for our wedding reception. The whole evening was a shambles. Paid for a wedding package to include a wedding coordinator , after them changing our coordinator 3 times the final one we had called in sick the day of our wedding so had a complete stranger we had never met dealing with our wedding. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, they are quite happy to take your money, and literally do not give a s@#t about the most important day of your life. SPEND YOUR MONEY some where else.

We got married here and had the most amazing day! The staff were absolutely fantastic and ensured the whole day ran smoothly. Honestly couldn't praise them enough, they were absolutely key to making our day so memorable. The rooms were clean and spacious, slept really well. Really good AC system too. Would 100% recommend this venue, the customer service is absolutely second to none.
