My husband took a wheelchair into Mountfords, which my Father in law uses. It had lost a screw and had become unstable. Not only did the wonderful shop owner find the correct size nut and bolt and washers, he mended it for my husband there and then. How incredibly kind and helpful is that? I would highly recommend this shop. They are always helpful whenever we go in.

This place beats the likes of b&q or Homebase ,Screwfix and those barns with trolly dollys at the checkout.This is a proper lronmongers with staff that can talk trade. I bought gas leak detector spray and high temperature chimney flue SEALANT that most people have never even heard of.There it was,service with a smile and extraordinary well priced.Whats not to like? Support and value this business that is one of Stone's anchors with out any bull.
A brilliant shop from the past. A genuine old fashioned iron munger. You name it they have it. When you enter the shop it’s like walking into the tardis. The shop is so full I could spend days just walking around and looking. A tool shop paradise and much more.
