These guys! The only word I can use is AWESOME! I went in with very low expectations and to look at one particular item that I had seen on their website. I’d had an awful experience with another retailer and had low expectations of finding what I needed. BUT, I came away with a perfect solution, the best price I had seen for the product type and zero pressure selling. The options for fabric/colours seemed endless but I left without purchasing because I wanted to check out the offer. It was as good as it seemed so I phoned the next day to place the order. I’m totally confident that my purchase will be exactly what I needed and I’ll be back for other furniture needs for sure. This has become my go-to furniture store because the guys I saw (Derek or Terry and Ian I think?) were epic and I’ll never step foot in the chain furniture stores again.
We decided to go into Northampton Jones' fufnishers to see what stock they had in order to try out a firm HYPNOS matress.Darren had originally spoken on the phone with my husband and was so helpful even phoning a HYPNOS advisor to find their firm matress equivalent for what we had seen at a chain store bed retailer. So we felt confident ordering from Derek and at a good price too. Delivery day was a pleasure.The 2 man team were pleasant, efficient and careful avoiding the hall chandelier and voluntarily removed their shoes.(as a woman, that made me smile.)They removed the old matress first, undid, carefully, the triple cover on the matress and then placed the matress carefully in situ on the bed upstairs. There was a lot of playful banter and laughter and we were impressed with the service : the antithesis of deliveries from furniture multichain retailers!!! we have experienced over the past few years. Bigger companies nowadays do not mean best and we have learnt to choose products from smaller retailers like Jones'.We would have no qualms about ordering from them again.The matress is perfect for my husband's bad back too-big shout to HYPNOS. We bought a sofa from another major retailer and after waiting several months it arrived and had 5 different manufacturing faults. After a couple of months of emails and phone calls to the major retailer, we were at a loss as to what to do next. We went to Jones to ask advice. They were extremely helpful and we finally got our money back. We then ordered a different sofa from Jones which was delivered today. We dealt with Darren and Derek who went above and beyond to help us. Their customer service was outstanding and we would highly recommend them and Jones the Furnishers. Jim and his colleague who delivered the sofa were excellent and a credit to Jones.

Whilst Jones the Furnishers might not be situated on a prime retail park in a modern building, their quality products and professionalism should not be under-estimated - and certainly a worthwhile visit. We visited their showroom today and received a friendly welcome, with the greeting encouraging us to browse and that their help was available if needed. During our browsing we did approach Derek who answered all our questions and gave advice without being over-bearing - certainly a refreshing change from most salespersons. We selected a couple of sofas that met our requirements and again approached Derek to work out costings, which he did quickly, again without pressure. We were glad to place an order for a couple of Parker Knoll sofas and now look forward to receiving a call to arrange delivery in a couple of months. The slogan on their receipt couldn't be more accurate 'we hope to give you satisfaction which you expect from a family business where personal service is still important'.
My wife and I recently brought a chair and a three seater sofa from the store. We were greeted by Derek on our first visit, he talked us through the different choices we had but put no pressure on us to buy anything. he was very helpful, kind and really couldn’t do enough to help us with our purchase. Having received our furniture which we love we felt it necessary to recommend Jones the Furnishers to anyone who likes to receive good quality furniture and excellent customer service.
